I love how carefree and energetic she is, and I really hope she is doing well right now, there's so many girls out there like her whose voices aren't heard. The fact that all those people wanted to impose those restrictions on her is so absurd. She's (well, was, but you get the point) thirteen, a literal child. Because they are just kids, and their families don't mind them being that way. They know it's just a phase, and they're just being kids. By the age of 14-15, they when they mature, they naturally start to cover up and get shy. Boys and girls.

The girl is strong and has good intentions. The problem with most of Yemeni society is that they accept the commands and teachings of religion through tradition and not that they are God’s commands and that they are the best choice for our lives, in addition to the wrong view of women and their role in life. God Almighty created male and female for the same reason, which is (populating the earth and reviving it). Of course, there are limits and advantages to each of them. I hope that security and peace will prevail in Yemen and awareness will spread among the people

All the men there are chewing on some drug called Khat. "Khat is a stimulant drug, which means it speeds up the messages between the brain and the body. Chewing khat is part of some social traditions in parts of the Middle East, such as Saudi Arabia and Yemen, and in Eastern Africa, such as Somalia." I don't know how this is compatible with Islam, because normally this should be considered as Haram. In any case, it looks like hypocrisy when Muslim men order women to wear a headscarf but themselves practice un-Islamic practices. Maybe there is a Muslim who can explain this to us here.

I want to speak to my Yemeni people if I could. Yes, the brothers in the neighborhood are right about men being protectors and above women, but women also have unique rights over men: they must be taking care of, fed and clothed and listened to, especially mothers. The boy saying how women are "deficient" got me angry. A'isha, the mother of the believers and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)'s last wife, was one of the greatest scholars of hadith, and relayed the most significant traditions to the companions. Najmia here is full of spirit, there is nothing wrong with that, but she is most probably ignorant on Islamic teachings. Unfortunately, my Country Yemen is plagued with social classism, racism, ignorance and the vast majority of it is cultural more than religious.

Unfortunately, Najmiya was not a girl who was interested in her studies. Her interest was focused on playing and wandering in the streets, and she behaved like a boy. If she had been interested and diligent, her father would not have opposed her completing her studies. Many veiled girls completed their studies, achieved their dreams, and became useful to society. The veil was never a reason for a woman to be late and not to obtain a degree. Whatever she dreams of, she only has to be diligent and concerned. Hijab is not the problem, but rather it is a protection for the woman and a preservation of her from harm.

The video looks beautiful from a one side. But there are demonic agendas spitted out from the reporter’s mouth. Unfortunately she is lowering the importance of the Hadith and sharing her “Quranic” philosophy. May Allah guide her. Najmia is a great girl, as long she didn’t reach her puberty she has the right to play around in the streets with cautios, but “Islamicly” when a girl reach the age of puberty she must cover her hair no doubt. That doesn’t mean she shouldn’t have fun rather she should differentiate between her childhood and maturity. Many differences between the two. May Allah guide us all.
