Hikaru is now one of my favorite players just for the fact that he regularly plays online against whoever. You don't see a lot of top ten or twenty players doing that for the enjoyment of the chess community. Amazing commentary too.
@whateverittakes1673
@whateverittakes1673 7 жыл бұрын
Exactly makes up for his sometimes abrasive demeanor by quite a lot. Naka plays with the common patzer on a regular basis and makes himself accessible. He's not in some ivory tower cramming 1500 lines of Najdorf theory like some of the other super GMs.

he crushes them all ...however Eric did well this time . in the St club chess at St.L last year after an OTB game at the Us championship , Naka defeated Eric in a mini blitz match 14 to 0 . That is insane . playing Biltz after an otb standard game ..Naka is known for playing other chess players after his games at tournaments ...

I use to think Hikaru was cocky and egotistic but after watching these knockout videos my opinion towards hims has completely changed. He's a down to earth, and humble even when he loses a match here and there. He knows he's good but at the same time doesn't take himself too seriously... I'm gonna start to root for Nakamura from now on in tournaments!
