Do you think about making chess lessons to beginners like logical openings, logical defending or atacking ?

Just a little bit of commentary would have gone a long way in this video. Perhaps an introduction?
@patrickjmt6 жыл бұрын
There is some official commentary on the St. Louis chess club. When I watch these sorts of videos, I don't really like any commentary, I just like watching the players.

Would it be possible to get an arial shot next time? This was incredibly entertaining. Poor Nakamura. He looked defeated about 5 minutes in.

I was about as close as I could get. They have a sectioned off space for the players so that us spectators don't completely get in their space

I've never seen a professional match before. Do most matches run down to the last few seconds where both are relying on the opponent to make a mistake?
@patrickjmt6 жыл бұрын
Sometimes! But this is blitz so time scrambles are very common.

He sure is. I told him after this game (he was outside): 'Great game man'. He just smiled and said 'Thank you'

Math nerds please answer this question: Can the Nash equilibrium be applied to Chess? Just food for thought.

who won? xD

Russian dude (Black). Nakamura forfeited after realising that he wouldn't be able to stop black's pawn from promoting to Queen, effectively winning the match up.

Why'd the game end, no one was on check
@patrickjmt6 жыл бұрын
Nakamura resigned. Karjakin was going to play Rb1 next and then promote the 'a-pawn'. Naka had no way to stop that or to get any counterplay.
@allanlago16 жыл бұрын
Nakamura had a knight and a rook against Karjakin's rook, bishop and two pawns. Basically, Karjakin was simply pushing his pawn up to the last rank, where it would get promoted to a queen, at which point Nakamura would have little to no chance. For that reason, Nakamura resigned the game. Here is the official commentary if you are interested: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGanpWaJht2niM0m43s

Nakamura forgot to drink his Red Bull, therefore resulting in a loss.

they deleted my account for some reason :/ apparently you are not allowed to have an 'alt account' and if they realize you have more than one, they delete them both
@penborg71606 жыл бұрын
@@patrickjmt Oh dang, I was starting to think that you were too scared to play me so u deleted your own account ;) If you ever go live stream on chess.com I'll be there in a flash!
@hjdhbcfjjb6 жыл бұрын
patrickJMT haha that's not true at all. Many players openly have multiple accounts. Take penguin for example. They only ban multiple accounts if you are abusing it. I assume that 5 or more accounts will get you blocked. Are you sure there wasn't another reason? Maybe you were cheating?
