FF7 Ever crisis Ifrit ex2 ft. Cloud / Red/ Angeal

I have no idea what im doing wrong in this fight. With similar stats and same strat his first incinerate still hits for 30k even though I have 3 stacks of MDEF and he's on 24 sigils.

I'll start from most obvious to less so. 1 - is your defense stance on? I'd assume so but better to check 2 - do you have enough fire res? fire res is still imperative to cut damage on everyone 3 - how's your damage? are you taking Ifrit gauge down enough? Ifrit increses his damage during that move by 2 ways mainly, either by having huge amout of sigils (destroyign 10 each significantly reduces the damage) and by his gauge he's charging by using fire attacks. If you notice on the fight I always try to time my cloud attacks to match when Ifrit is using his skills, to ensure he can take down this gauge as much as possible, before his first incinerate you want to ensure the gauge is either empty, or only sliver filled. I'd assume number 3 might've been an issue here, but cannot say without seeing the video myself.
