Between Angeal being pushy and a good leader and Sephiroth being cold and distant, I see how the two became good friends

The opening movie alone made some huge implications and once you finish the chapter the raise more questions than they answer which is good story writing. Alissa is a 2nd Class Soldier which is interesting, while Glenn, Matt, and Lucia were P0 Soldiers. If you played the mobile game First Soldier you know there were many P0 Soldiers. I think the next character we get will most likely be Genesis... could potentially be this new Alissa character although it seems she has some Jenova influence which makes her very suspect. I like how she looks.

I kind of hope Alissa is still alive during events of ffvii but something tells me she isn't But I am also glad that they are clearly gonna give us another playable female soldier besides Lucia.

This is my theory and I could be off the mark but I think the real Alissa is already gone and died along with the other SOLDIERs. The Alissa we see here is Jenova using Lucrecia's appearance

Angeal and the others his age had their cells degrading by the events of Crisis Core, so she was probably in the same condition too.

They couldn’t have given the female soldiers the same uniform as the guys? Just had to have them in the thigh high socks?

Who cares. No one cares that Sephiroth takes off his shirt underneath his jacket, and then he just walks for the rest of the series while being bare-chested. But he makes it look good that’s for sure. Their uniforms are mostly just for show. Their cells have been upgraded for protection so they don’t actually need to wear much. Agility and speed is what they rely on the most in fights.
