We never kill spiders, unless they are white tails. They catch other bugs. We live in Oz, where you will often have Huntsman's in the house during winter. They kill mozzie, so we leave them alone.

As a Californian, it's wonderful to see the Sequoia Redwood tree seeds that Dean is planting, They become very old, very tall trees, I have one. Purchased in a 15 gallon tub, now it's 40 feet tall and still growing. I encourage all who can, to go to our Big Trees Forest in central California to see how magestic they are.

Dean, I admire your gentle spirit. I like to relocate spiders that get into the house, but would never catch them by hand! It's the glass jar, paper bit routine. 🕷 Your mother has a lovely garden. Same here, nobody is as terrified of spiders as I am but I do exactly what you do, I cover them with a class, slide a stiff paper under it and take them outside.

@@annetteenzoulis4870 Australia is a great place to live. Only one or two really bitey spiders here and they are in another State next door, so no problem. I think white tail spiders get a bad rap here but I think it is a myth. According to the government depts. that know about these things they are not as harmful as they are made out to be and should not be killed. Just my opinion. Often get them in my house in Spring but have never hurt me. The big hairy spiders are more afraid of you and only come in the house when it is going to rain, so a weather forecast.

Haha she has abdominal flap going on. They think that it is for when cats fight and they get bunny kicked in that area. Being all soggy and hangy helps protect that vulnerable area. Cats also have Henry’s Pockets which are the funny little bits of their ears with extra skin. They still do not know exactly what purpose they are for but some suggest it is for directional hearing.

I left comments about Nala but somehow I came across VLOG 13 about Ghost. It was so sad to know Ghost did not survive Parvo in 2019 but I see it is still news to a lot of people. Some wondered about all the puppies but saddened to learn Ghost didn't survive. I liked to see the videos of Ghost again and remember how much love you gave that little boy. It is always worth the effort to rescue animals and give them every chance at life. That time must have been so hard for you, Dean.

Thanks for gently relocating wayward spiders. If you don't want to pick them up, designate a cleaned-out plastic peanut butter jar as a Bug Jar... keep a small piece of thin cardboard with it, useful when scooping them up to carry out. Hi Dean and Nala, enjoyed the video. It was fun to watch you plant the seeds, especially the sequoias. When you get to the US, you will have to see them at Muir Woods in CA. When you put the seeds in the Tupperware and put in the refrigerator/freezer, it reminded me of being a child and trying to get different seeds of plants to grow that way, so I could transplant them! Please teach Nala "beep beep" all my cats knew it means better move now! Saved a few of them a few times! Also the noise of (only organic) catnip bag shaking sound THAT saved me so many headaches to get them to "Come NOW" ... One time with neighbors cats included, opened my back door and shook the bag ...9 come running!!! Saved a few from loose doggy's with that bag,!!
