Nala's brother (Mheetu) | Story & Theories | The Lion King

In this video we'll speak about Mheetu, Nala's brother. He got deleted by Disney because they found it as a useless character, with a cruel story in some cases.
I know there are some theories that I didn't mention in this video but there was little information about them. (for example the theory that says that he got exiled from the Pridelands by Scar).

Weird to think that somewhere in another universe, Mheetu did actually end up being in the Lion King movie. I can imagine the old 90's merchandise of him on a shelf somewhere in a shop at Disney World/Land. You can even just smell the atmosphere in that shop, seeing other fans of Mheetu, trying to search for one of the last remaining toys of him. Very weird but fascinating.

When mheetu was a teenager he looks so much like scar, his nose eyes and they have a similar face structure. I think that scar is possibly mheetu’s father. Nala and mheetu most likely have the same mother but 2 different fathers. This is my theory.

I think Mheetu did not make it to adulthood, and Kopa is scared to go back to his home because Zira attacked him and left him in the desert with no food to eat and no water to drink.

My personal theory is that after Scar became king, he mated with Sarafina (many people believe that they were either mates or betrothed when they were young and then drifted apart) and they had Mheetu. But he was weak and sickly, and Scar saw him as an unsuitable heir and either killed him or he died during the drought.

if Mheetu was made and i was the director, i will not make him out of the story, because i can see the plot with Mheetu is...... Mheetu be in the jungle with Timon and Pumbaa before Simba (because Timon and Pumbaa found him as a baby so they can keep him) and when he and his friends (Timon and Pumbaa) found Simba, Mheetu will be the one who have the idea to keep him because he was alone and want somefriend with his species, then the trio keep Simba even through Timon like saying "Pumbaa, we already have one trouble maker cub, just think if we keep to cub!". years and years past, when Simba and Mheetu grow up, Nala come to the jungle and chase Pumbaa but then fight Simba, realizes that is her old friend, Simba, then Mheetu came, Nala was shoke and say "brother, is that you?" (BOOM! plot twist!) so Mheetu was Nala's brother and being trash out by Scar (Mheetu like one month while Simba and Nala like five month) but then being keep by The due of hakuna matata.......

Maybe they could add him if they did a parallel story like with The Lion King 1 1/2 but about what happened during Scar’s reign. I doubt they’ll ever do that but that’s an idea. A thing they could actually do is to add him in The Lion Guard season 4, hoping that they still remember his existence.

My theory is that Mheetu and Nala are real siblings but one day, during the riegn of Scar, Mheetu went to the forest to find food and didn't return back to the Pride Lands because he was born during the early riegn of Scar where there was no food and water and when he saw so much good food, lots of availability of water and a nice atmosphere, he decided to live there. Nala searched for Meethu and found his months later in the forest where Meethu told Nala about his decision. He also told her to not tell anyone where he lived. From then onwards, Meethu lived in the forest and Nala used to visit him every season. This also gives a boost to my favourite theory about Kopa. After the attack of Zira, everyone thinks that Kopa is dead but Nuka, who is a good friend of Kopa and was introduced to him by his sister Vitani because of thier strong friendship, tries to find Kopa. He finds him at the outskirts of the Outlands and tries to wake him up. Soon Kopa opens his eyes and tells him what Zira had done. He informs Nala, who tells Nuka not to inform anyone. She hands Kopa, who was still a small cub, to her brother Meethu in the forest. Kopa was raised by Meethu and was visited by his mother at the start of every season and by Nuka at the middle of every season. After being trained by Meethu, Kopa then returns back to the Pride Lands as an adult lion and lives happily with his family. He also meets Vitani again and they live together happily and have two daughters and the older one becomes the royal adviser of Kiara and Kovu after Zazu's death.

I have a theory:Before Zira came to the pridelands,Scar was desperate for an heir so what does he do? Use his charming looks and manipulative behaviour to mate with a lioness.Scar mated with Sarafina since she was very easy to manipulate and they got Mheetu.Mheetu was the perfect heir that Scar needed so Scar would always train Mheetu to be evil and strong like he was behind Sarafina's back because he knows that she won't be okay with him hurting their son.Scar thought his training would make Mheetu braver and stronger but it instead made more of a coward and he gets easily scared by even the smallest things.Scar sees Mheetu as a failure so he takes Mheetu to the gorge and plays hide and seek with him.However there is a twist,the hyenas are also playing and if the find Mheetu they will kill him.The hyenas found Mheetu and began chasing him.Mheetu bravely scratched one of the hyenas' face and continue running.Eventually Mheetu ould find himself at the edge of a cliff and he jumps off.The hyenas couldn't see him very clearly so theu assume he died.Mheetu actually survive.Mheetu could return back to the pridelands but because of his fear of hyena and Scar,he decided to run away.Mheetu wpuld eventually found a pride of very friendly lions who took him in.However,the pride is actually at war with another pride o Mheetu was still trained to fight despite being so young.Mheetu would eventually grow up and become one of the best fighters in the whole pride and when the enemy pride attacked them,Mheetu kills their king and which leads to his pride becoming victorious.Mheetu would go on to have a mate and three cubs,two males and one females and would also become the pride's King.After all of the thing he has achive he decided to put the past behind and never come back to the pridelands. Theory 2:Mheetu was born to Sarafina and Nala's father.Since he was the only male cub there he was chosen as Scar's heir.Mheetu was trained to fight and would always get injured by Scar during training as Scar wanted a strong heir.Mheetu after years of abuse decided to run away.Mheetu would later find himself at another pride's territory.The king of the pride attck Mheetu but Mheetu used his impressive fighting skills which he learned from Scar to defeat the king.After that,Mheetu was allowed to stay in the pride where he was assigned to train other cubs to fight.Mheetu didn't use his claws when training them as he didn't want other animals to feel the pain he felt when training with Scar.Mheetu would go on to become King of the pride and have two sons with his mate who he chose as his queen.Mheetu did not come back to pridelands because he knows that he will never have the life he has now if he stayed in the pridelands. I think if Mheetu were part of the story, He would have been born just before Mufasa's death and Scar's reign that followed. Knowing how vindictive and malicious Scar is, he would NEVER accept an heir to take his place unless he was as evil, vindictive and, malicious as Scar himself, Scar would attempt to kill him in order to prevent him from growing up and challenging him, but Mheetu would run away in fear into exile with Scar chasing him out of the pride lands and roaring as a warning to NEVER return which would scare Mheetu into staying in exile, though he would have chosen to live in hiding as a rogue anyway out of fear Scar would actually kill him the next time around anyway. Mheetu would also change his name to prevent Scar from finding out he's still alive and possibly coming after him. He wouldn't have to worry about eating because like his mother and sister, he is a very skilled hunter, even as a cub, being able to take down mice, rats, rabbits, small birds and other small animals with ease, and he had been able to find a water source to drink from after running father than Simba had- beyond the jungle as far away from the pridelands as possible. Of course, Scar would lie to cover his ass saying he saw Mheetu running away on his own and he tried to stop him, but was unsuccessful. Sarafina and Nala would accept and agree it was for the best to insure Mheetu's safety despite how hard it was to accept that fact, but it would give them a peace of mind and comforted hearts knowing he is safe at least. He never joined another pride due to trust issues he had developed because of Scar putting such fear into him, he had been haunted by nightmares since he had been chased out of his home. Growing up, he would have met a lioness who is the heir of her pride, and wanted him to be her king, he refused because of his trust issues, causing friction between the two of them, resulting in the lioness making assumptions of him not actually trusting her, and not really loving her and that he was only playing with her heart and dumped him, running home in tears and told her pride what had happened, and some of the pride members proceeded to go after him. Mheetu knew she told her pride, and that they would come after him, he didn't run. He was going to tell them the truth then would leave regardless if they believed him or not- most likely not. When said pride members found him, they noted , and were shocked he wasn't running from them. He stood his ground and explained what really happened, that the lioness had lied to them after making assumptions, and explained his situation and said he's sorry she feels the way she does, and he would not be a problem for her or them anymore and would turn and walk away in the opposite direction, then ask them for just one favor- don't tell anyone his real name because of what happened in his cubhood. That's all he asks. Then continued on his way. The lioness s pride members would be left shell shocked and would then confront the lioness and explain everything to her in hopes she'd finally understand what Mheetu had went through, and understand him more. It would take her a a couple weeks of thinking, but she would come to her senses and would do the right thing by going and looking for him and making things right with him. Mheetu would still be hurt by the last words she had said to him weeks ago, so at first he would give her the silent treatment while she explained her pride members told her what happened and now that she understands why he has major trust issues, apologized for her behavior and admitted to being in the wrong for her words and actions and hoped he would forgive her then left alone since she had already done enough. After Mheetu considered her heartfelt words and apology, they make up and Mheetu tells her he will give her pride a chance because he can't avoid everyone forever, though until he met her he had done a good job of that. They would go back to her pride where he has accepted to be the lioness's mate and future King. When he and his mate become the new king and queen, they have cubs.

So thinking on it, I feel like scar has a pretty rough backstory when it comes for jealousy and the events leading up to mufasa's reign. It could be that scar had a romance with Sarafina, before he was scarred and shamed and the outcast of the family. And then once he was an outcast, he grew more jealous and angry of the life he once had while seeing mufasa as king, and not able to see or tolerate his son mheetu, coz of raging jealousy.

If mheetu was born before scar took over the pride then it would be plausible that scar would kill him. This is because in the wild when a rouge male takes over a pride he kills all the cubs of the previous leader. This was so that there would be no challenge against his authority from any male cub that was not his and allow his bloodline to be stronger. However, if this was the case, then Nala would have also been killed.

ItzJustEllie Actually, Nala was a cub when Scar took over the pride as he took over after informing them that both Simba and Mufasa were dead. If it were in the wild Scar would have killed Nala due to her being not useful as she wasn’t mature yet (lion maturity is usually between 1.5 -3 years old). And a new lead lion would want to produce cubs with the lionesses straight away as to not have any competition later on. And they kill both genders as when they are cubs it is hard to tell from a distance (apart from by their reproductive organs) if they are males or females as the males don’t have their manes growing until they each maturity.

I think that Mheetu is actually Sarafina and Scar’s son. I think Mheetu and Nala were half siblings and Sarafina had lied about it to her unknown mate and Nala. I think Scar had convinced Sarafina to mate with him and they had Mheetu. But after Scar started liking Zira, he lost interest in Sarafina and Mheetu. I think the unknown mate of Sarafina was from another pride. He had stayed in the pride lands for a short period of time with Sarafina, but after Nala was born, he left. He visited occasionally. That’s my theory

I’d like to see another story in The Lion King universe with Mheetu where an adult Simba saves young Mheetu from a rogue outlander lion willing to kill him but then Simba along with his mate Nala and Timon and Pumbaa save Mheetu from an elephant stampede and bring the cub to the safety of Timon and Pumbaa’s jungle home because the cub would definitely be traumatized by the horrific event!

If anyone watches Slothastic, I agree with her theory on Sarabi and Sarafina's parents. But that'd also mean Simba and Nala are cousin's... And I feel like the reason Mheetu, Tama, Malka, Chumvi, Kula, ETC. (my english will probably be bad in this comment because I'm Brazilian but i'll try) In my personal opinion Nala and Mheetu have only the same MOTHER, Sarafina, but different fathers. There is a lion in the books of The Lion King who's name is Ni, I guess, and he is probably Nala's father. Mheetu may be Scar's son because he looks a lot like him. I really doubt the idea of Scar being Nala's father because in a deleted scene of the first movie he even try to mate with her(okay, I know they're animals and stuff but still they're ANIMATED CHARACTERS, it would be too much for a Disney movie doing a father trying to mate with his own daugther). Well, that's what I believe.

My suggestion for the name is that, first of all, you have to understand what is the personality of that character. You then have to find a word that matches his personality and translate it on Google to Zulu or Suajili. That’s the way everyone (including Disney) gives names to the character in The Lion King

Mheetu is born before Mufasa death. He is Scar son and Scar is also Nala ' s dad. He didn' t kill Mheetu but I think when Mheetu is find out Scar is tried to kill he is refused to be king , later he find mate and had own cubs

In a continuation of The Lion King, Simba would have a first-born son named Mheetu or Kopa or Kion who would often get saved by his dad Simba or his babysitters Timon and Pumbaa from unexpected dangers like the hyneas! The same hyenas that were defeated in the first movie and banished into the outlands would still look for more food with Shenzi’s clan and some new hyenas named Kamari, Azizi, Banangi, Janja, etc. and Simba would have to fight not only the hyenas but also other outlander animals like outlander lions who are Scar’s followers including a rogue lion who takes Scar’s place as ruler of the outlands pride after Scar was killed!

I think my theory is there was a third lion that came around scars 'family', Safrina got pregnant with that lion, scar then killed the other lion as lions would do in real life. And then when mheetu was very young, scar killed him too coz as lions do in real life, they kill the offspring of the the other male. so that's probably why mheetu just doesnt exist. Killed younger than the movie took place. Which would make Nala Scars offspring. Unless Nala is also this 3rd lions cub, but scar only killed off the male cub because its the actual threat. and when he killed mheetu out of threat and jealousy, that's when he was exiled to the side. But nala could be related. the theory can branch off a bit

I think he probably died from the drought because I don’t think scar would of wanted to kill him because he was weak because his father would call him weak and his son Nika was weak I also don’t think he would of been jealous because he wasn’t his son because he took in Kovu and Vitani so I think he because weak and scar was a bit ashamed but he dint kill him and he just died and like you said I think he tried to mate with Nala to get a stronger cub. I think that’s why he chose Kovu to be his heir because he was stronger than Nuka

In my theory mheetu was the leader of the lion guard and almost mastered his roar . Not only that scar even thought of him to be his heir however zira and the hyenas and brain washed scars mind into banishing mheetu. After scar death he returned to meet simba and his sister as well as his newborn nephew. But after awhile he thought leave the pride to create his own by that time kopa was still a young cub before 'killed' him. That was until mheetu found him limping in the desert and decided to bring him back but simba who was angry on zira started a war. And mheetu thought it was too risky to bring up kopa not to mention with zira there he wouldn't bring him after the war kiara who was a newborn was crowned to be simba succesor and kopa was proud and decided to let her sister rule years passed ( oh by the way mheetu's guard had already been killed by hyenas so don't ask me) mheetu and kopa were when suddenly stumbled upon two lions these two lions were none other than kion and rani after some introduction and meeting their sister and parents as well as their siblings kopa settled down at pride rock along with vitani while mheetu stayed at the tree of life with nirmala. THE END. So what do you think?

My theory:scar met a lioness named sarafina they fell in love and got married but mufasa thought a rogue lion and lioness should not get married so he told them no marrying each other but they disobeyed him got married and had 2 cubs the eldest nala and the youngest mheetu but mufasa came and roared and jump-scared nala and mheetu they bumped into a female white eagle she grabed nala with her beak grabed mheetu,s white hair tuft and flew away with them nala asked her if white eagles eat lion cubs she said yes letting her go nala landed in scar,s mane mufasa told scar he was exiled and had to go to the den in the pridelands so he did nala and sarafina followed him but mufasa said only scar is exiled sarafina and nala are joining his pride so they followed him meanwhile the white eagle got to her nest she pinned mheetu in her nest and ate mheetu

There is more proof of nalas brother in an episode of the lion guard there’s an episode called the trail to Adugu ( idk if that was the right spelling) and NALA lead them and adugu is two SIBLINGS working together but hey its just a theory
