Ingredients
Nentra Kaya -2 kg
Turmeric powder-1tbsp
Salt -2 tbsp
Water -1/2 cup
Oil - for frying
Method
Take raw banana. Take banana which is dark pinkish in colour. Take a bowl of water add some turmeric, salt. Mix well. Remove the skin of the raw banana . Now put it in the turmeric water for 10 mins. Take a steel wool/ chakkari and rub it on the raw banana. This will scrape the sticky part of the raw banana. Wipe all the raw bananas. Take a big kadai and add coconut oil. The oil should be really hot when you add the banana slices. With a slicer we need to slice the banana. Even with a knife we can slice it with a small thickness. Take a small bowl add water, turmeric powder and add 1 tbsp salt to it . mix it well. When the oil is pipping hot add the sliced banana into the oil. Remove one and see if it is crispy. On high flame add 1 tbsp of salt water into the oil. Remove from the fire and keep it on the kitchen tissue.
TIP- always fry the banana chipsin a deep bottom pan.
Store it in a closed container.
