Namma Metro also known as Bengaluru Metro, is a rapid transit system serving the city of Bengaluru, the capital city of the state of Karnataka, India.It is the second-longest operational metro network in India with an operational length of 76.95 kilometers, just behind Delhi Metro. Upon its inauguration in 2011, it became the first underground metro system in South India.Namma Metro has a mix of underground, at grade, and elevated stations. Out of the 68 operational metro stations of Namma Metro as of November 2024, there are 59 elevated stations, eight underground stations and one at-grade station. The system runs on standard-gauge tracks.
Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL), a joint venture of the Government of India and the State Government of Karnataka, is the agency for building, operating and expanding the Namma Metro network.Services operate daily between 05:00 and 24:00 running with a headway varying between 3-15 minutes.The trains initially began with three coaches but later grew to six coaches as ridership increased.Power is supplied by 750V direct current through third rail. As of March 2024, the metro system had an average daily ridership of about 636,000 passengers. On august 20 - 2024, the ridership was 9.2 lakh, the highest recorded so far in the history of Namma Metro.

👉 The Purple Line 43.49 km long and spans 37 stations from Challaghatta in the southwest to Whitefield (Kadugodi) to the east. The Purple Line is mostly elevated, with 31 elevated stations, 5 underground stations and 1 at-grade station.
👉Green Line of Namma Metro was built along with the Purple Line during the first phase of construction of the metro rail system for the city of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The 30.5 km line connects Madavara in the northwest to Silk Institute in the south. The Line passes through Majestic station which is an interchange station between Green and Purple Lines.

👉Yellow Line
Main article: Yellow Line (Namma Metro)
The Yellow Line connects Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road to Bommasandra, covering a distance of 18.82-kilometre (11.69 mi) and has 16 stations. This line is completely elevated.
👉Pink Line
Main article: Pink Line (Namma Metro)
The Pink Line is aligned from south to north and connects Kalena Agrahara in the south with Nagawara in the north, covering a distance of 21.25-kilometre (13.20 mi) and having 18 stations. It is elevated on the southern side till Tavarakere, the rest is underground till the northern end at Nagawara station.
👉Blue Line
Main article: Blue Line (Namma Metro)
The Blue Line is aligned along the eastern and northern sections of ORR. It deviates from ORR at Hebbal and proceeds along Airport Road to Kempegowda International Airport.
