Nice video with your honest views. Don't worry, everyone faces the same when adapting to different cultures & traditions and have bit some issues. Remember, no one is perfect. It all takes time to be adapted and get used to. And yeah, i really like your views on staring and you perfectly understood the reason behind it. 💯 Agree with you. Its really awkward but some people stare with curiosity only and nothing more. To the marriage ceremony part, yeah it's been hard for people those who haven't experienced this. But since marriage is an important event, we celebrate it with full enjoyment according to our traditions.

Wow! I'm so happy to know that u r coming back in October. Please please also visit the Northern most states of India like Laddakh,Himachal, Uttarakhand and also the North-eastern states. Believe me they have hidden natural treasure. The most common mistakes foreigners do in India is just visit Delhi and then go straight to Agra to see Tajmahal and then Mumbai. Then they return home with a negative stereotypical image of India that it's so crowded, polluted and what not. India has a lot to offer. U should also visit Rajasthan and october is the best time to visit India because of autumn season.

Absolutely not... these are views of people of British agent Nehru... and that's why Raul Vinci is saying that India is union of different nations... this is Nation Dividing strategy... We are same people... only thing is that we allowed everyone greater freedom... Here in Marathi it said after 12 miles language changes... in Maharashtra all people speak Marathi but Marathi in Pune is some what different from Marathi in Marathwada which is just 250 km away... In orissa u have Ratha yatra of lord Jaganath... in Maharashtra during same time we have palki to Pundharpur to lord Vittal.... now lord Jaganath n vittal are same Lord Vishu... We never said 1 language , 1 God , 1 custom, 1 Tradition.... So in south u will use coconut oil to prepare food while in North u will use mustard oil to prepare food ... Because we did with what was available This is giving freedom for thinking... which now a days most corporate wants.. They say to get Out of box thinking we should have diverse people...

@@electricbulb3813 dude, that's totally like what Europe is 🙄 in fact the truth is we probably wouldn't have one country now if British didn't invaded & conquered all the different kingdoms which they called princely states, then combined & formed one country. Encountered your channel for the first time! I could completely relate to your experiences!! Being an indian I completely understand the staring issue!! 😅 Its too much, and can be overwhelming!! I myself get very exasperated and embarrassed with people staring, especially when I am with a "foreigner" friend!! I usually stare them back, which makes them be aware of their's!! 😆 (yeah being stared while eating is the worst!!😡) I am an introvert myself, so I'll let you know, that the best way to enjoy an Indian Marriage is to attend it, and not be the centre of it!! 😆 Being involved in one, especially as a bride or a groom, is a different animal altogether!! 😅 I have attended and enjoyed many Sangeets, at my own pace and involvement, but I can never dare to be the person, for whom the sangeet is taking place!! 😂 Its hectic, and overwhelming!! You are quite brave!! But you did great!! 👍 You guys look wonderful together!! Congratulations!! 😊😊😊

Hi there, I'm a European foreigner in India. married 8 years ago and have been staying here in India with my husband ever since. I also had spent one year before that working in India as a language teacher, so soon I'll complete one decade of living here :D I completely feel you on the functions having the potential to be overwhelming. Me and my husband went for the cheapest and shortest possible marriage at the Arya Samaj. It was all done in 3 hrs with just about 80 people and we really just did it for my inlaws, else we would have gone for court wedding only. I'm an extreme introvert, my husband is not religious, so it didn't make sense for us to make a grand thing out of it. It still had a lot of nice local traditions and was very memorable. But generally I prefer attending Indian weddings as a guest only hahaha. At the end of the day though the wedding is more for the family than for the couple, so of course, if family expects a grand wedding, that's what you have to do. And it's great memories you'll never forget!

It is an animal both factually and literally. I'm intrigued that you say it is a mother as it gives milk but so do Goats and Buffalos so would they be a mother for you to. There are many Indians living in the UK that I have met who eat Beef regularly like Beef stew, Big Macs etc, and enjoy it so perhaps it's something personal to you rather than all Hindus I have come across.

I can understand that staring part. My God! It's so intimidating. Once I was with my foreign friends in a park in Bengaluru, and they both were having a conversation with locals I was also there and all of a sudden, there were a group of people who surrounded us and stared at us. It was awfully intimidating to a point that I left both of them on their own to conversate with locals. I felt bad for leaving them alone when all of us wanted to visit this park jointly and also, for them, it was helpful for them that a local friend like me showed them around, but I couldn't handle that many people staring at us. Then I realized the problem of staring. Surprisingly, my friends didn't scare. When I asked about this, they told me that they got used to it. I am sure they must have been scared just like me for the first time even though I am an Indian.

So much Respect for u to choose veganism. U r a kind soul. Everyone should have compassion on all living beings. This is also the core belief of Hinduism. But people slaughter these voiceless beings just to satisfy their taste buds. BTW don't u worry bcoz India has a lot of not just vegetarian food but also vegan food. Basically all are Sabjis(vegetable dishes) and Daals(pulses, lentils etc.) are vegan. And u can also customise ur food at any restaurant in India. Like u cud simply tell them not to put butter or any milk products and they'll love to do that because it will cost them less so more profit. Becoming vegan is not just good for environment but for ur health also. And don't worry about nutrition. U won't be lacking any nutrients and vitamins. Western people are too much obsessed with taking Vitamin tablets and what not. U cud also check ur blood work later u won't be lacking any. Maybe b12 a little bit but for that u can also take fermented food like Indian pickles, soybean fermented foods, Pickled onions, plant based kimchi etc. Or u can also take b12 suppliments if u feel like it. That's it. Ur future self will love u for taking this decision of becoming Vegan.
