Hi! You can pay in cash or with an IC card. However, these days buses in Kyoto are really crowded and not puntual since many travellers rush into the buses. Therefore it's a good idea to use the train as much as possible. If you have any other questions, feel free to comment again.😊

Hi! Thank you for the comment. Taking photographs is arrowed but photographs other than for personal enjoyment are prohibited. I was told this by a security guard at the Golden Temple. Apparently, this rule has been in place for some time.

Yes. In this video, I visited these places in one day and I mostly used the JR line. Although I needed to walk for a little long, to make an efficient day trip, I used trains, which are punctual. I tried not to use buses. These days, in Kyoto there are many travellers and they rush in the buses, so buses are really crowded. It takes time for tourists to get on and off, buses often cannot run on time. In addition, traffic congestion in Kyoto makes buses delayed. Therefore, trains are convenient to cover many places in Kyoto in one day. If you have any other questions, feel free to comment again.😊

So it might take a longer time in walking. Currently planning out my itinerary. Been quite confused with Japan train system and find it very challenging for me. I will watch all your videos, really informative. I hope I can plan my itinerary in an effective way. Appreciate your guidance

From Kyoto Station to Nara, you can use the Kintetsu line or the JR line. I think the Kintetsu line is the better since Kintetsu Nara Station is nearer to Nara Park.
