There should be additional space for 4th line, so the up line should be there for tbm to cgl emus and 3rd line for cgl to tbm emus and 2nd(up line for express trains towards tbm/ms)

Southern railway or railways in general is a resource hog - land it will consume from the state but wastes it and never utilises it fully. See the unused buildings of MRTS & compare with small efficient.etro station buildings. No planning also. Guduvancheri station has lot of land & it can ideally be developed as a big station with many platforms so Beach TBM can now become Beach Guduvancheri.....there is a big railway ground near Guduvancheri which can b expanded & whole station remodeled to become the stopping point for EMU services. TBM is main junction. Guduvancheri can be a min junction to hold trains etc as there is space here. No other station beyond Guduvancheri till CGP has spacr. 4th line till CGL is needed but may take decades with SR slow pace but till gudu can be done quicker.

They should have moved the up line and made a platform island platform for up and down line bcz out station trains need to be stopped here. And also high rise buildings are their which wouldn’t be demolished for the 4th line which in pending for long time. So they will make it next to the new 3rd line by making this way they would have got 2island platform which will be enough to cover the crowd at last this station is going to be a mess.

Informative video; you are explaining well. The need is to press into service EMU service at least once 7 mts , between Tambaram Chingleput. Also fast locals between Beach - Chengelpet needed. The load of commuting public will find it convenient if stops at St Thomas Mount , Guindy and Mambalam are available; The bulk of public from south districts of TN after reaching Kilambakkam should be enthused to take the local train.

I think they will move the existing 3rd line to the left, where the levelling is happening and construct an island platform in between 2nd and 3rd lines, so both tracks will be covered.

A fourth line could/should have been constructed to cater for the future needs and requirements. It is always an afterthought, a politician's proposal, delayed project study, long drawn plan with huge costs & lots of inconveniences in many ways. I don't know why the Indian Railways can't put forth their future plans well before time.
