I am happy that you found that video of interest. You will find more cane line videos here, including Nambour which was probably the most fascinating system of the lot. Sugar Cane Railways Qld Australia kzbin.info/aero/PLLtOIHp49XND6bcwLgbtsBFKmh_DsS_yl

The days when mum and me would go to Bli Bli to see grandma and grandad on oyster bank road. But just to see the sugar cane trains going through the fields was magic for 5years. Until 2000 when we moved away.

I know what you mean. I suppose you know that the foreign owners shut the lot in 2003.

@@tressteleg1 yep I've got the documentary. the last crush. I've said to myself never go back. But my family has two graves at Palmwoods cemetery.

@aussiesean5140 I may have seen that documentary a long time ago, but if so I forget. I suppose you know that a group is setting up a passenger service to run on the Howard Street tracks? Unfortunately their design for a tram to run this line is best described as I ridiculous joke beyond belief! if you do a Nambour tram google search, you’ll probably see what I mean.

Brings back memory's as a kid, the peices of sugar cane would bounce out on the roads. It was like free candy. 😀

my house used to back onto that line. would have been good to see some footage of the trains coming out of the pass behind the shops and over the little bridge at the bottom of tasol st.

I have a lot more footage to post. One scene looks above the weeds where the Junction was behind the shops. That maybe covers what you mean. At this stage I have no idea when that will be.

Over 21 years, unfortunately things do change. I'll never forgive the foreign owners for shutting all this down.
