is there an exhaust gasket included with the new muffler?? or does it not require one

man this is an excellent video i appreciate it a lot since most videos are just people comparing stock to nameless and revving. Going to purchase the 5 inch muffler single exit for my 2020 impreza because of this :)

My mom owns a 23 Crosstrek with a six speed manual, Im 16 and it's the second car we've ever owned that I've been old enough to drive, so naturally I drive the crap out of it, we've only had it just over a few months now and I've already put on around 6,000 miles, anaways I really really wish she would let me do some mods like this

Good demonstration. I'm getting a new 6MT Crosstrek soon and have been looking at exhaust options. Want something with a nice tone but not too loud and this seems like a good choice.

That’s a nice sound and what I thought I was getting. But, I didn’t see the executive option when ordering and the regular nameless that I received is extremely loud. Difficult to get an accurate idea of sound levels from videos. The executive is tastefully elegant.

I didnt go "Nameless", but I did have my local shop install a flowmaster muffler in lieu of stock...it sounds Very similar to this, but maybe a tiny bit quieter, but I love the sound. Did you notice a big change running the K & N? I was thinking of getting a CIA, but a lot of people just say to go with a reuseable air filter, and that CIA isn't worth the $$. Thank You for the demo.

Thank you for the great video!! Can you tell us what was the difference in power?? Or was there any? ANY difference in gas mileage, please? Thanks in advance.

Hi, just two quick questions. Besides the nameless executive exhaust did you do anything else to the car get this sound? And are you still loving it?
@TheHanJohn2 жыл бұрын
I do have a K&N air filter but I still have the factory air box. I did that before I added the exhaust and it made a very subtle difference to the factory sound. Adding the exhaust made a huge difference. So I'm not sure how much that affects the current sound, my guess is that it changes it very little. And yes, I still love it.

I've been thinking about getting this muffler but I'm a little hesitant because I'm an Uber driver do you think it would be too loud for passengers?
@bittyrsweet19342 жыл бұрын
Hi! I'm John's oldest daughter, he's never been a passenger with this muffler, I have. It's a little louder in the back than the front but not immensely. You are still able to have quiet conversations with your passengers (front to back), I really like the sound and when you've got the radio playing I don't think it's noticeable. It will of course be louder when you're on the gas, going up hills, etc. but I don't think it's too loud to have as an uber driver. It's an ability to add a personal flair to your car without having to worry about interfering with your passengers.
@TheHanJohn2 жыл бұрын
Hey you see my daughter's response, she saw this and was able to respond before me. I'd add this - it can be pretty quiet if you want it to be. I've driven by cops in small towns I didn't know how they felt about exhausts and I can always keep it pretty quiet with a light foot. The warm idle is almost silent. And the interior videos I shot, the camera was actually mounted at the roof in the back seat. I don't think it is a problem for Uber at all. I'm actually, funnily enough since this is the "executive" axleback, the president of an organization and I have to use my car in professional capacity sometimes. If you like how it sounds I don't think you have any worries. It might be a plus - if they ask you to hurry it will at least sound like you're trying - we all know Crosstreks and Imprezas aren't the fastest cars out there.

Is nameless the brand?

Yes - Nameless Performance is the brand

Hello, are you still happy with this? I noticed Nameless now offers a version of the exec with a tailpipe/end. Debating between that type and yours!
@TheHanJohn2 жыл бұрын
I'm late to answer, I haven't figured out how to get KZbin to let me know when I have comments and I get notifications all of the time on other things from them. I am still very happy with this! I personally would choose one without the tailpipe just because I drive mild trails quite a bit. I don't think you can pick a loser.

Is there a drone or bad vibration in the cabin at highway speed (particularly in the 1.5 to 3k rpm range?
@TheHanJohn2 жыл бұрын
There's no vibration but a little drone when you're on the gas. So going uphill on the highway you'll hear it even at lower rpm, and also over 80 or 85mph even on the flat sometimes because these cars don't have a ton of power. If I'm listening to music I don't really notice it. I don't mind being able to hear it though, it helps me know when to shift without having to look at the tach.

Having trouble getting the back bolt off. Both kind of rusty but I got the first one off after some liquid wrench soaking. That back bolt with the tricky angle I can’t get a good torque on it to get it loose. Any suggestions?
@twiliteryu072 жыл бұрын
Spray some wd-40 on it and give it a try
@TheHanJohn2 жыл бұрын
Did you figure it out? The back bolt was what took me as long as long as it took - even though mine wasn't rusted on, I couldn't get even 1/4 turn at a time and spent awhile slowly ratcheting it off and then later back on. Also took me a minute to find the right pair of channel locks to get the factory muffler off of the exhaust hangers. Since it has been over a week I'm going to guess you got it. How do you like your exhaust?
@stonecoldsteez2 жыл бұрын
@@TheHanJohn I did! I had to use an impact wrench. Glad I decided to do this because it turns out my factory exhaust was missing a hanger. May have been sold to me like that. Glad I decided to get the Nameless hangers as well. I am a big fan of it overall and setting myself apart from the other 76 million crosstreks on the roads in CO
@eziocomparini70682 жыл бұрын
Nice! Did you notice any performance gains or losses. Low end torque, etc. how about mpg? Thanks.
@TheHanJohn2 жыл бұрын
I think it is supposed to yield a small power gain but if it goes from 152hp to 156 that is a pretty subtle change - and yet it feels just a tiny bit peppier. It also greatly reduced the light knocking that is normal on these cars when giving it gas below 2k rpm. There was no change at all in mpg.
@eziocomparini70682 жыл бұрын
@@TheHanJohn excellent response. Thank you. I just ordered a 6spd myself and doing research ahead of time. Some cars lose low end torque do to lack of back pressure, so good to know yours feels a bit peppier !

@@andreahighsides7756...is the car hers or yours? I know we do/don't do stuff because of others (me included), but can't we do the same for ourselves. If you want it (or similar exhaust), get it and put it on your car. If others don't like it (my wife thinks my AWE Touring CBE on my wrx is loud, but she's OK with it...but she would have killed me in my sleep if I had gone w/track cbe (no mufflers). So, indulge a little, but this isn't as loud as it could be. The exhaust will be louder when the engines digs in and works harder (yellow mpg bars)
