The only reason you should EVER call a trans person by their old name or pronouns is if they ask you to if you are with people they are not out to yet, for example infront of their parents. Thats it.

My former best friend used to do that. Former. She wouldn't accept it. So we fell out. It felt horrible, but I am better off without her. She lost someone who loved her. I lost someone whose beliefs were enough to push me away.

Not that long ago my uncle point black refused to call me by my correct pronouns and he was so hard to me but my mum stuck up for me and sent him home early

I’m all for transgender and etc equality, but it’s not so simple in a quick exchange and can be used to hate against those who exist in their world. If there is time for the exchange of ideas than hell yeah, but you also can’t expect everyone to go that deep in a one or two sentence exchange. Like if I talked to any African American person to ask who they identify as for saying thank you that would be insane. We gotta have some room to breathe on both ends
