A THROUPLE are bringing up their two-year-old baby as 'theyby', a term that refers to gender neutral parenting where the baby isn't outwardly identified by its parents as either a boy or a girl. Baby Sparrow follows in the footsetps of their 10-year-old sibling, Hazel, who was initially brought up as a girl but came out themselves as non-binary aged just four. Hazel and Sparrow are looked after by three parent figures: Ari, Gwendolyn and Brynnifer, who themselves are either non-binary and/or transgender. While the family, from Orlando, Florida, lives within a supportive community, online critics have argued it’s no wonder the children are ‘confused’ about their gender.

@@user-ws9ec9bq1c Jesus is alive, and He is sitting on the right hand of His Father. Like every human is 3 part being, so is GOD in 3. THE 3 parts OF 1 GOD: (NOT 3 gods) FATHER SON HOLY SPIRIT THE 3 parts OF 1 HUMAN SPIRIT = me SOUL = my consciousness BODY = my house or clothing THE IMAGE OF GOD = Being created in/with 3 parts. Being SPIRIT BEING, (everlasting being) having consciousness, being able to understand good and evil. and living in a body = human aka complete living soul. We worry that among the living is 10 billion souls, therefore it = 10 billion souls, created in the image of GOD. 10 billion spirits who are conscious and who dwelling in a body, and who are all named ADAM. Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. Don+t forget, BIBLE, which is the WORD OF TRUTH, MUST BE RGHTLY DIVIDED. Dividing: Male and female created he them; = answering how the body got created, in genders. Remember, SPIRIT IS GENERLESS. and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. = letting us know, that we didn?t just get created, we also got named. So God created man in his own image, = The SPIRIT MAN got created. (1st part) in the image of God created he him; = The conscious SPIRIT MAN got created. (2nd part) male and female created he them.= the body got created. (3th part) = 1 being with 3 parts. How is Spirit genderless? because it is created so. For what a everlasting being does being in gender? gender aka being male or female comes useless. Mark 12:25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven. GOD is genderless (GOD IS SPIRIT) Angels are genderless (ANGELS ARE SPIRITS) humans are genderless , cause all are SPIRIT BEINGS. (HUMANS ARE SPIRITS) Trans movement is a lie, cause we entering either as males or as females into this world , is taken care by GOD. There is nothing confusing nor unanswered, if a boy born then boy born, if girl born then girl born. GOD Himself saying that He is the one who forms our bodies in the womb and then give it to us, to live in that body. Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. It is GOD who formed us to be either males or females, and it is satan who comes to confuse and saying that it aint so. Thats how we got the trans movement. The confusing and laying parts, satan does. Therefore whoever "feels they to be trans" - souls, GOD has given us a power to rebuke all evil. therefore say to satan, GET BEHIND ME, SATAN, NEVER TEMPT ME AGAIN. Well what was the temptation here? - souls got and get tempted to go and destroy their temple of GOD, their bodies. 1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 1 Corinthians 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. That`s how you learn to understand the bible, through dividing the word of truth.

Exactly. So why they use them as little dress up dolls and make them play sports or learn skills they have no interest in is beyond me. Don’t force your child to conform to your ideals. I used to be a little girl smothered in pink - I can’t stand pink now. My brother wanted to play with my dolls, and he’s now a great father. Let kids be kids and turn out based on who they are rather than who you expect them to be. I’m sure these kids will be confident and well-adjusted humans, who ever they turn out to be.

I agree with this family. I love that they don't choose there kids gender, and that the kids can decide it them self. I find what they are doing is really meaningful and out right the best thing anyone can do. I am growing up in a homophobic and transphobic household and I am pansexual and non binary, and I can't tell my family that I am non binary without risking me being kicked out of the house. Do you know how many times people have committed suicide because of those reasons, over 70% of suicide is people that identify in the LGBTQ+ community. And I personally know how it feels like having suicidal thoughts, because I get them a lot. If my family excepted who I am I would have no problems.

Even if they could get home schooled into adulthood, are they going to be jobless too? They'll have to learn and work with the larger culture around these gender identity issues if they want to integrate with society. Bullying in schools are often harsh lessons on what is and is not culturally acceptable.

@RJ no they don’t label them. Hazel deliberately chose to be non-binary and Sparrow hasn’t decided yet. Labeling them would be telling them they’re a boy or a girl, and that’s not what they’re doing. Calling their child (the young one) with non-binary pronouns isn’t labeling them, it’s accepting the ambiguity of gender.

When my son was 3, 4 years old he wanted his nails painted. He dressed up in his sisters play clothes. He loved it. It was fun. However, not once did I think - nor did he - that this meant he was actually a female. It was just a kid...being a kid...playing around. Doing things he saw his sister and I do - and wanting to take part. He is now 16, has a girlfriend, plays football and very much identifies as a male. I cannot imagine the extent of the damage thats done to children who are encouraged to transition at such a young age because they showed interest in something that is considered to be a male or female thing.

Yes, it is sad how kids are influenced to make such a life changing decision at such young age for what is most likely a temporary like or interest or curiosity. In my example, I was a child wanting to copy her sibling and do other stuff like her older brother with whom she spent most her 3 years of life with. As to games and toys, I was never told anything for playing with toy cars, being a bit “rough” lol (I mostly had boy cousins). I was a bit of both lol. Never once heard parents make the distinction of activities…my mom only pointed out the peeing incident because…well…it would have been messy lol. 🤷🏻‍♀️

And the older child, who is only 10, is highly articulate and looks like they are actually doing pretty fine, in my opinion. They are still at an age where sitting down for half a day with books and pencils is less effective than learning through other activities and experiences. Just because we are used to conventional schools does not mean that alternative teaching methods do not work. On the contrary, childrens' brains develop faster and better with learning through play etc. I agree their way of life is amusing. My aunt got worried because I was "acting like a boy" and would give me dolls for Xmas and my mom would go "she knows she is a girl, she just like different things, let her be" I knew I was a girl but when you are young you just want to have fun and be a kid. Around 19 i got interested in dating and buying little make-up, naturally starting going out, dating but still my goofy, tomboy side never left me. I don't know what would have happened if i had parents who refused to tell me my biological gender.

How do you know they don't interact with the outside world? Plenty of homeschooled children have homeschool groups or have extracurricular activities. Also they don't necessarily need to go outside to find their gender identity sure it would probably be helpful and yes they need to anyway but their gender is something that they have to figure out themselves and the only reason it would be helpful to talk to a bunch of people is to 1 here there experience (easily can be done over the internet) and 2 help them experiment and call them different pronouns (easily could use their families for this) but in any case I can garentee you that they interact with the outside world plenty.

Because they can dress and act how ever they want and be comfortable wearing what ever and thoughts like “ i cant wear this cause im not a boy/girl” doesn’t cross there mind. @@chaoticcollisions5328 No for one.. the world needs boys to become masculine men, and the world needs women to be actual feminine women. The world doesn’t need confusion and enabling of children to make decisions that could ruin their child hood. As a mother of boys I would never let my children drive, smoke, or drink alcohol if they asked because they aren’t old enough and its not healthy, never mind become a girl or for the rest of their childhood just because their growing brains have an impulse sense of curiosity and imagination which needs guidance not enabling. I’m not gonna let some overly pretentious and self righteous ideology contaminate my children or the children in the rest of my family with confusion, entitlement and risks that far out weigh any plausible benefit. My husband and I are going to raise them as men, because the world needs masculine, intelligent and God fearing men, real women need them too. The trannies at the town square salon has more wisdom to give than some modern kid who thinks deleting genders will solve problems. They will just simply say that being trans is a choice and not everyone has to do it involuntarily. Its not because of hype or social media but because deep down they know they want to be born as a woman but that didn't cause any problems because like everyone else in my town. Everyone needs to work to live and to eat and some of them were married before transitioning and even had kids. Madame Sally the oldest of the stylists, has 5 children and all have graduated college and had kids of their own. They even accumulated almost 2 million dollars to build their father her dream house that they promised. So that she could retire from working in the salon for 40+ years. she has been flowery ever since the dawn of time and good natured person but has failed in many of her relationships with men. Until she met Constancia, scratch that XD until Constancia started courting her. Her wife did all the things that a man does when courting women old school style. Until she gave in and dated connie. Sally even said that she has never been that happy to wear a grooms attire because she always wanted to wear the gown but to sal it was worth it. He has never been happier. Had kids and grandkids. Maybe s few family problems here and there but thats just the things that happens in families. Though it was really sad that they closed up shop on 2020 because of the pandemic and the saddest thing is that constancia died of covid 19. This year they opened up the salon but sally would just lay in the wooden bed inside the salon all day and sleep.compared to before where she would catwalk around the square for costumers and talking with friends. Well losing your lifetime partner is one of the most tragic thing that could happen to anyone.

Agreed, I think I'd have probably chosen to not go to school most days and stayed home to be a pirate! Parenting is a role, one of guidance/teacher/protecter/provider... the parent makes choices for the child until they are old enough to understand what they are choosing. These adults can do what they want, I genuinely have no opinion of how they choose to live, I do think they are robbing these kids of a normal childhood mainly due to their own egos & selfish reasons. My problem is is that they mistake they're gender for they're personality and traits. For example, I'm a women and I can be into pretty masculine things sometimes. But sometimes i enjoy a lot of feminine things. This doesn't make me gender fluid though. 🤦‍♀️

Exactly. It's like they expect men and women to fit into this tiny little box of what you can and can't like, and if you differ from that you're something else entirely. Women can like masculine things and men can like feminine things, but it doesn't mean you're trans, or something "in-between", it just means you're a unique human being.

2 hours is pretty typical for homeschool. Most lessons can be taught in about 15 minutes because it’s one on one teaching. This does not account for time getting “homework” or projects or reports done. For example: Saxon math- used in public schools- takes about 5 minutes to teach a daily lesson and then typically the child has it mastered in the next 10-15 minutes of practice and using it. History taught through reading literary works, ideas, and projects only takes about 20 minutes to read the story one day and spend 20 minutes per day the rest of the week putting together a presentation on ancient Egypt or whatever. Science experiments (like turning an egg into a bouncy ball, slime kits, baking soda and vinegar volcanoes, making play dough, baking, building a fire or going for a nature walk) go much much faster in a one on one setting than they do in a 30 on 1 setting. Language arts- 15 minutes reading to yourself, 15 minutes making spelling flash cards, 15 minutes practicing penmanship (when’s the last tome a public school kid actually sat and wrote for 15 minutes straight?), 15 minutes reading out loud while mom does the dishes, etc. That’s just the four basic subjects, it leaves a lot of time for additional things like lessons outside the home- sports or music for example- pursuing interests such as creating a business, building computers, learning a foreign language from an early age, and field trips. I’m not defending this particular family’s education, because I don’t know what they’re doing, but I will say it’s pretty typical to have 2 hours a day for lessons homeschooling.

It’s actually super ironic that they chose to project and impose their own childhood experiences with dysphoria onto their kids, despite the fact that almost 99% of people are cis. Statistically speaking, their kids would’ve grown up just fine identifying as their sex at birth, but now have to live by a set of arbitrary philosophies that really do nothing but overcomplicate their lives. It’s one thing to shift gears if their kids demonstrated that they had gender dysphoria but to indoctrinate them from birth with this concept of “no gender” is not nearly as progressive as they believe it to be. I’m also super curious at how they explained what “feeling like a girl/boy” was like to their kids, as we obviously know that descriptions like “feminine”, “dominate”, “sensitive”, “creative”, etc are obviously not gender-exclusive.

I'd say that 99% of what you write is born out of ignorance. But it's ok. Judge all you want. One day this will change for all and you will have to accept that gender is only what you teach it to be. Teaching your kids they don't have to fit any box, you call it over complicated, I call it their rights and freedom. Don't be scared of this, try to understand and learn. That's all I can ask of you.

Whether you say "boy, girl, or nonbinary" the bottom line is they're ALL labels, so saying that you're not assigning a gender doesn't really make sense. Just let them be kids, and instead of creating an issue where there doesn't need to be one, just meet them where they're at if they show signs of struggling with their identity. My point is they're creating an issue where there doesn't need to be one! Also, when it comes to the children's education, or lack thereof they really need to step up their game, because inevitably it will hinder the kids if they choose to go mainstream when they're older.

But others did that. There are tons of studies showing that parents treat babies, toddlers and children different depending on the sex of the baby, toddler and children. For example: Child Gender Influences Paternal Behavior, Language, and Brain Function A number of studies argue that parents treat girls and boys differently, and learning theory proposes that parents model and reinforce gender stereotypes in their children (Bandura & Walters,1977; Bussey & Bandura, 1999). For example, some research indicates that mothers talk more (Leaper, Anderson, & Sanders, 1998; MacDonald & Parke, 1984) and are more restrictive of physical risk-taking with daughters (Morrongiello & Hogg, 2004) than with sons. Other research indicates that western fathers and mothers are more elaborative in autobiographical storytelling with girls than boys (Fivush, 2011). Moreover, parents often encourage gender-stereotyped play behavior and household chores and dis- courage gender-atypical behavior (Lytton & Romney, 1991), and both mothers and fathers are more likely to engage in rough and tumble (RTP) play with boys than with girls (McIntyre & Ed- wards, 2009; Paquette & Dumont, 2013; Pellegrini & Smith, 1998). Related lines of research also point to differences in paren- tal behavior related to child social and emotional development. For example, fathers of young children attend more to daughters’ submissive emotional facial expressions (Chaplin, Cole, & Zahn- Waxler, 2005), convey gender stereotypes while discussing emo- tions with their children (van der Pol et al., 2015), and are more likely to express affection and respond to daughters’ pro-social behavior (Hastings, McShane, Parker, & Ladha, 2007).

Or this: ‘You'd Be Good at That’: Gender Patterns in Parent-Child Talk about Courses Abstract This study examined the parent-child dyad as a context in which children's gender-stereotyped course selections are reinforced. Fifty four children from two age groups (Ms = 10.67 and 12.71 years) and their mothers and fathers selected courses for when children reached secondary school. Afterwards, children and parents discussed their decisions. Parents of sons selected fewer foreign language courses than mathematics, language arts or science courses, whereas parents of daughters selected fewer science and foreign language than mathematics or language arts courses. Girls selected fewer science than language arts courses, whereas boys selected fewer foreign language than mathematics or science courses. Although parents' course selections followed gender-stereotyped patterns for language arts and science, their discouraging comments were not confined to cross-gender-stereotyped domains. Instead, parents made more discouraging comments in general to daughters than to sons. Counter to the hypotheses, daughters made more encouraging comments about science courses than did sons while talking to mothers. The findings suggest that parents and children may show gender-differentiated preferences for children before children are old enough to make course decisions.

@@Pohlmaster Well, I understand what you are trying to say. There may be obvious parenting differences when it comes to sons and daughters. But how far that comes into effect, is not clearly mentioned in the studies you mentioned. Of course, there was one with the career choices and how parenting affect it. But that is only one variable which comes into play. When in reality, there can be many other factors that lead sons and daughters to have different career choices. This is often innate rather than influenced by the environment. If you take the most equal countries in the world (Scandinavian countries) where they have flattened out gender norms, you can still see a significant amount of men joining the STEM fields rather than men. So to say that, it is because of "parenting" seems like an unfair conclusion rather than logical. Because what it really comes down is to an individual's innate choice. And whatever the angle you look at it, gender-wise there is obviously going to be differences which are not specifically rooted from societal norms. (Leaper, Anderson, & Sanders, 1998; MacDonald & Parke, 1984) - this study you mentioned shows how mothers talk more than the fathers when it comes it to parenting or on general. Then this comes down to how men and women typically behave and it is true that women talk more than men (generally speaking), so is it a societal construct or is it just how the world works? Women are less likely than men to enter professions that are math related. For example, in 1983, women received only 13.2% of all undergraduate degrees in engineering and only 27% of all undergraduate degrees in the physical sciences. In contrast, females received 68% of the undergraduate degrees in psychology and sociology and 75% of the undergraduate degrees in education (Vetter and Babco, 1986). And aslo, IN most of the studies you mentioned, the most effect sizes were found to be nonsignificant and small. That is why these studies often end up with and maybes. But I do have to say that these are credible sources of information that you mentioned. "both mothers and fathers are more likely to engage in rough and tumble (RTP) play with boys than with girls (McIntyre & Ed- wards, 2009; Paquette & Dumont, 2013; Pellegrini & Smith, 1998)"--- the most common reason for is the biological sex differences between boys and girls. Because there are obvious biological differences that might cause a natural tendency to not rumble with little girls. " convey gender stereotypes while discussing emo- tions with their children (van der Pol et al., 2015), and are more likely to express affection and respond to daughters’ pro-social behavior (Hastings, McShane, Parker, & Ladha, 2007)." this has mostly do with the fact the youg girls tend to be more emotional than boys and there is nothing wrong with that, And also I don't understand how it is wrong to attend to your daughter's feelings, plus, if it is actually gonna be of negative effect, how exactly will it be negative for the girl's future?. Because parenting in that situation doesn't seem discriminatory but it does seems do for the boys. the existence of a sex difference in the activation relationship in toddlers: fathers activate their sons more than their daughters. Ok I am gonna stop writing for now, because I keep on going. (PS: I don't know, how your comment related to the OPs... lol)
