I think you want to say, "I feel as though they are patronizing me." I learn a lot from Zuzanka, and I enjoy falling in love again every time I watch one of her videos.

Hi there! Thank you so much for your video. I'm writing a fan fiction and one of them is polish in this relationship so it's been really helpful learning from this video.

Once again a great lesson! A lot of useful information. Some people were calling me Romek, instead of Roman in Poland. I kinda liked that.😃 Djenkuje serdecznie!

Your examples of diminutives for _torba_ like _torebka,_ _torebeczka,_ and _torebunia_ are great! I wanted to add that there was another diminutive historically used in Polish: *„torbeczka”.* This form appears in the _Słownik Języka Polskiego_ edited by Witold Doroszewski. The dictionary references a fragment: _"Wziął swoją torbeczkę podróżną i powiedział jej, że tu musi wysiąść."_ The source is cited simply as *„Bał. Dziady 230. // SWil”.* It took some digging, but I discovered that this likely refers to *Michał Bałucki* and his novel _„Pańskie Dziady”._ In the 1927 edition available on Polona, this passage appears on *page 288,* not 230 as indicated in the dictionary. I thought this was an interesting historical detail worth sharing!

Wydaje mi się, że z każdym korzystaniem zdrobnienia cena musi się zmniejszyć o złotówkę. Kiedy drożdżówka kosztuje 4zł, to malutka drożdżóweczka musi kosztować 2.

No właśnie, tak powinno być! Ale drożdżóweczki nadal po 4 złote..

Thanks for the lesson! A dear Polish friend of mine is named Ewa, and I would love to know the diminutive ways of her name. If you could help me I would appreciate it immensely :)

Of course, it could be: Ewunia or Ewcia (but be careful, not everyone is fond of their names in the diminutive version

Thank you! Very clear video. From my experience in L'viv, Ukraine, many words are in Polish, as it was part of the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth with a large Polish population. So many words are so familiar from your video. I heard them in shops and villages. I think Ukrainian took a lot of Polish words into its daily use. Is there any like general diminutive form to address family members, like cousins (older mostly), grandma, older people generally (but relatives), or in Poland you just use their names in general with some other word (like dear cousin)?

You could say, for example: babciu, babuniu, ciociu, cioteczko, kuzyneczko (the last two not that common though)

Can’t wait to annoy my wife with this once I have it memorised. Generalnie, nie rozmawiamy po polsku (mój polski jest bardzo słaby), ale od czasu do czasu lubię trochę dezorientować :D
