I think the next step for Nami is to possibly use this front suspension design to build something bigger, with more range and power. Would be a good opportunity for Nami to capture the hyper scooter market because weped is not doing a good job of marketing their scooters internationally.

Thanks for watching this video as well @RedMag! I agree with you. It may not be the best looking inverted swingarm in its current version but if they can refine it, it could be amazing. We already know it's super stable and does the job well. I'd love to see Nami do something like the Weped Cyberfold Dark Knight with this design and make a hyperscooter with gigantic wheel lol.

@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel Jack! I have an elevator in my building so these larger scooters are pretty easy to bring up into my apartment. At work, I also have a bike room that I use that has 24hour security so I don't really lock it up. When I go into large stores I tend to bring it in with me and security always has me leave it in the front. Since NYC isn't the safest place to leave something this expensive unattended, I only lock up my scooter if I can keep line of sight with it. I also use 3 levels of protection. (NFC from the scooter, a heavyduty krytonite lock/chain, and a brake lock that goes on the brake disc). I generally won't leave it like that for a few minutes and I never leave it unattended for more than a few seconds. I hope this helps!

Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel Francisco! I'm glad you enjoyed it because I had a lot of fun getting the footage of the Blast! I figured that would be the case with the suspension, it was completely stock and the only adjustment I made was on the rebound. My Burn E was never that bad because I've always had the front preload raised by 2 turns and had the rear lowered by a turn (I followed the Rider Guide suggestion when they first figured it out). Thanks for watching, I appreciate ya! I love the performance tho I'm still not quite sure how I feel about the inverted front swing arm but it definitely worked. @ssoffshore5111
@ssoffshore5111 Жыл бұрын
@@eyebahnrides Weped has really missed the mark with their customer service (especially given the price points). With that said, I do have to wonder how much faster these things need to go? With several mass produced e-scooters already breaking 60 mph, do we really want or even need them to go any faster? I get it for bragging rights, but I honestly see nothing good coming out of these things being any faster. It's just asking for death, followed by the legal clamp-down ending the party for everyone. Either way, if Nami wants to build something faster, they really should focus on engineering a much stronger stem to not only reduce failures, but to also improve stability. What I would like all the major players to start doing for the 55mph+ e-scooters, is to start using larger diameter 13" tires along with larger brakes. That would go a long way to improve not only safety, but also comfort. But again, where does it all end? At some point you just have to ask what's the point of something like that as it's no longer small, nimble, transportable, reasonably priced, etc... and a proper motorcycle makes a lot more sense!
@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
@@ssoffshore5111 I agree with you. People in the Nami group with Michael Sha have been clamoring for a standup hyper scooter that does 100+. He said that he was happy with the performance of the current line up and basically said just get a motorcycle if you want more power. There are modifications available for the Burn E/ E2/ E2 Max where I can upgrade to 13inch AT tires. I've been wanting to do it but the whole fire ban issue in my building has that project on hold. I would give up torque and speed in exchange for those more comfy larger tires so that I don't have to worry about shattered rims because of these NYC potholes. Honestly, I agree that the 55-60mph that the Blast/ Burn E hits is enough for a scooter. With how expensive some of these "hyper PEVs" are getting, I'm thinking about getting my M license so I can get a small 150cc scrambler lol. That way I can safely transition into the 70+MPH vehicles!
@ssoffshore5111
@ssoffshore5111 Жыл бұрын
@@eyebahnrides That conversion sounds interesting, but with the additional rotating mass, I'd also want some better stopping power! 😅 I've had my M license since I was 16 (53 now). I think I've owned just about every toy out there at this point. While I still have a T-Max 500 (big scooter) and a custom chopper, all of the stupid fast bikes are gone and I have no plans to get back on those things. I still ride the T-Max here and there and enjoy it, but I'll be honest and say I have more fun on the PEV's. Once you get into motorcycle license category, the world suddenly gets limited to roads, no more bringing it inside, and the rules of the road get enforced a lot more $trictly. Little scooters are fun and practical, but the same applies for the most part. I think that's one thing I really like about the PEV's, the freedom, plus they are more fun IMO.

@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides 7 ай бұрын
thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel Thomas! That's interesting about the T3. The things that I hear about it are either really great or really disappointed, there's no middle ground. Your sister has great taste (im totally not biased because I own a Klima hahahaa). On a serious note lol, the klima is incredible for a "middle weight scooter". It's the perfect combination of size, performance and comfort. The Klima Max and Blast Max can be "quite jumpy" on max settings at low speeds. That's in comparison to the buttery smooth delivery of the 72v system they have on the Burn E/ E2/ E2 Max, however, it's not as jumpy as a square wave controller wolf/ dualtron/ weped that's constantly trying to tear your arm off. Just note that the throttle control can be easily learned on these scooters as you get to know it in the first 100 miles. In my opinion, the blast max has the most "brutal" initial take off but the Klima is not that far behind because of the smaller tires and the torquier tune they have on its controller. Check out the video that Ride & Glide where they raced the two scooters. Both the Klima Max and Blast Max are neck and neck until the top end. That's because the Blast tops out over 52mph and the Klima tops out at 42mph. Check out my video where I ride the Blast Max to work because I talk about the power delivery and what it's like to commute with it. Also, feel free to check out my 100 and or 750 mile reviews of the Klima Max. I try to be as fair as possible in the videos and go over different talking points instead of the usual "POWER POWER POWER SPEED SPEED SPEEDDDDD WEEEEE NEEEEEEDDDD MOOOOORRRRREEEE POWERRRRR NOW SMASH THAT LIKE BUTTOOOONNN" approach lol. @eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching and welcome to the channel Dave! In my opinion, the blast is an amazing road scooter and would make for a not so great offroad scooter. The reason I say this is, like you said, the inverted swing arm. The inverted swing arm was incredible when I hit bumps and potholes at speed because it made it feel like it wasn't there. However, it was really sketchy at lower speeds when I rode the Blast Max on some of the gravel roads that we have here. The way the controller+ motors are tuned along with the suspension, it felt like it was constantly trying to slide out compared to the Burn E. This is probably something that I would've gotten used to if I actually owned the scooter and got to ride it everyday. I still believe that the Burn E, E2, and E2 Max are the best for the light trails and dirt. I don't usually ride in those conditions but one of the group rides I did took us through a trail and the Burn E floated through all the small bumps and felt less sketchy than the Blast Max. I wish I had more experience on trails so that I could give you more info, but I hope this helps!

The inverted front swing arm is a design that should've started as the norm, actually. Weped does this and they have the right idea. Think about it, the c-shape swing arm goes against the bumps and causes the scooter to reduce forward momentum. The reverse swing arm does the opposite. More stability n control for imperfect roads at high speeds.

@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides 10 ай бұрын
thanks for watching the video, I'm glad it was helpful! The Blast Max and the E2 are very different scooters. If you're looking for 40-45mph scooter with a more comfortable riding experience and a much more manageable throttle, the E2 is the better choice for you. If you're looking for a 50+ mph scooter stiffer ride with more instantaneous delivery of power so it's a sportier more aggressive riding experience, the Bast Max is a better option. I would personally choose the E2 if I had to buy a new scooter because I prefer the comfort of the E2. I don't need my scooters to be "crazy" and I rarely use the top end speed. My cruising speed in NYC is around 20-35 mph because anything faster can be dangerous due to the congestion and road conditions. I hope this helps!

thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it because it was a ton of fun to record this video on the Blast Max! Yup, I'm aware that we can control the rebound on the suspension with the dial. I actually had it on the slowest rebound to maximize stability at speed, so it was going to be stiff. But even when I sped it up a bit, the scooter was still much stiffer than the Burn E and I was totally ok with that since it's for the sake of stability.

Ivan, I currently use a 2nd gen ninebot max g30lp. Do you think the Nami Klima max would be a nice upgrade without breaking the bank. I would wanna cruise at like 30 miles an hour an still have a usable 50 to 60 km range. Can the Klima Max do that? I weight about 165lbs. Where I live, occasionally we have some relatively light hills. Thanks

Thanks for watching this video as well Deen! I'm huge fan of the Klima Max and I think it would make an amazing upgrade from the Ninebot Max. It has plenty of power to keep you cruising around 30mph while still having that higher ceiling just incase you need it. Check out my video's on the Nami Klima (I did a first Impression here kzbin.info/www/bejne/iIq1ZmeOgq-Dnq8 and i did a long range high speed city commute here kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYGzYXeQh7J9d5I). If you read through the comment section, people also shared their experience owning the scooter. Based on my experience with it, I believe it will be plenty for what you're looking! I hope this helps!

hello at the moment I got a regular 20mph scooter, I'm planning to upgrade from Nami . do you think the Klima would satisfy me or should I go all the way up to the burn e?
@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel! Coming from 20mph scooter, I believe both the Klima or the Burn E would be great options. It would really depend on 2 things. Your use case and your desire for speed. If you have the space and you know you're going to want more performance, get the Burn E. Folks don't realize how big the Burn E is and how quick it is. It's an amazing scooter but generally overkill for most users. However, I would recommend getting the Klima if you want something with a smaller foot print for storage and something more nimble for city riding. I will say, now that I own a Klima Max I get less dirty looks from my angry PEV hating neighbors than the Burn E because it's much less intimidating. The top speed I've gotten on the Klima Max is 43mph at 200+ lb and that's plenty for me. I hope this helps!

@eyebahnrides 4 ай бұрын
I have plenty of videos on the original Burn E since I had it for 3 years and over 4000 miles. Technically there is no such thing as a E3 Max. The E3 Max is what Europe calls the Gen 2 of the E2 Max and in my opinion, they shouldn't be doing that. The Burn E2 Max is basically the same machine as the original Burn E. The only reason we have the max version now is because they created a base model called the "E2". Hope this helps!

@eyebahnrides
@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Hey Gerardo, thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel! I appreciate ya. This question came up in the Nami Group and Michael Sha (founder of Nami) basically said something along the lines of "they're happy with the performance of the Burn E2 Max as a stand up scooter and don't plan on upgrading it. If we want higher speeds just get a motorcycle lol". However, its also safe to assume that they'll never stop making quality of life improvements and potentially releasing an upgraded version of the E and E2 Max. As an owner of the first generation Burn E (32ah), I didn't feel left out because the E2Max owners got all the quality of life improvements that they learned from us first gen owners lol. I didn't complain about it (like some owners of the Burn E), I eventually bought the upgrades a year later. My apologies if this isn't the response that you were looking for but this is the best I could put together given the information we have as of July 23, 2023. I'm time stamping this because I know someone is going to try and use this in the future and be like "IVAN WAS LYING!!!! THEY RELEASED A BURN E88 THAT FLIES"🤣

@eyebahnrides Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! Wheel spin isn't necessarily a good thing, it just means that the scooter isn't effectively putting down the power and we're just burning through tires. My Burn E eats front tires if I'm not careful lol. I assume that the Blast Max's new inverted front fork helps put down the power so that it translates into acceleration not wheel spin. Also, I got the blast going before smashing the throttle since I didn't want to waste tires on a scooter that doesn't belong to me lol.

thanks for watching the video and welcome to the channel David! To be honest, if you've neve ridden the Burn E, I don't think that you'll be able to tell. I'm not aware of the exact specifications but the decks feel the same, I think it's just the shape of the front end and the shape of the back that makes the Burn E feel longer. In my opinion, the deck is spacious and you won't be disappointed
@sneeville
@sneeville Жыл бұрын
I had a scooter with longer deck (wider foot stance). Then I got the Blast Max. At first I felt uncomfortable as my rear foot would always be on the rear foot rest (which is a bit too high imo). After couple of weeks riding I finally understood the design of the foot rest. It's for when you go accelrate hard on C or X mode. I would bend my front knee and push myself forward with my rear foot on the footrest to keep weight in front and avoid wheel slip. The shorter deck length also helps keep the rider closer to front. Overall, I still prefer the longer deck for long rides. The Blast deck can be tiring on the legs unless you know how to switch foot positions during ride ( switch from side by side to one front one rear foot)
