Dang! I just sold my '48 Willys a couple of weeks ago. You are our kind of mad, bad, and dangerous to know fellow adventurers! I am part of a loose group of international like minded open truck expedition enthusiasts based out of the UK called Popski's Private Expeditions (no fees, no dues, no forms, just mates). We do deep desert WW2 research expeditions in the Sahara in the style and spirit of the Long Range Desert Group and Popski's Private Army. Our steeds of choice are a motley bunch of vintage-ish (compared to yours) Land Rover Series, Lightweights, and Defender trucks. Namibia is one of my favourite places and have enjoyed the vastness of Damaraland from the back of an open safari truck. It also one of the places our group is looking at exploring sometime in the future. I will forward this to them to show the stunning beauty and vastness of Namibia that is impossible to explain unless you've seen it. Most of us are former or retired military, or keen amateur military historians, our group would find much to discover there. I did not know about the two renegade geologists and am keen to research their experiences. If you would like to see what we get up to in the desert, I'll link to our video about searching for the Lost Patrol. Your video is beautifully shot and edited. My highest compliments to you, sir! Kind regards from the damp summer here in England! kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYDYnIuvqtutncU

Thank you for this amazing film! My two greatest passions other than performing acoustic music are vintage 4x4's and 6x6's and wild Africa. My first unsupervised driving experience was in a cj2A 1948 at St. Lucia Estuary at the tender age of 11. I've wanted one ever since. I've never been to Namibia or Botswan and my dream is to drive the Tropic of Capricorn in a Jeep from the Indian Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean.

UPDATE OCTOBER 2024: At timestamps 06:57 and 08:16, the soundtrack Burning Bridges by Mike Curb Congregation has been removed by KZbin as a result of a copyright dispute.
