I miss Namie's sound from the 2000s, her production was so distinct, smooth, rhythmic, and ahead of its time. Really makes you appreciate the original idols. This was one of the best uses of a motown sample I've ever heard in pop music. Rock Steady and What A feeling were amazing sample uses too...can't find clever production like that these days!

Since they are trying to build their own image as a "group" on their own country, covering a classic song from Japan, they will likely get more attention especially from the casuals. I can tell that you love Twice and discovered this original through their cover song, but I can assure you that it was never was about twice, nor korean idols. In my original comment, I was talking about modern hollywood music, specifially pop category, making artists feel insecure and feel they need to do things as such to become a well known singer because hollywood culture is so toxic to the point that celebrities promoting drugs to people as if becoming skinny requires to take drugs, forcing artists to make their body to look sexual, otherwise you cannot be even noticed as an artist. Namie Amuro was not an idol so it's kind of irrelevant to Korean idols in my take. She is a singer artist around 90s and early 2000s, meaning she created music and lyrics herself. That's what I was complimenting as an artist since she was known for not promoting herself on tv programs and social medias but only with her music and performances, ironically implying that the modern Hollywood artists nowadays has to be mostly all naked and using chemicals to appear unnaturally skinny and mass use social media constantly to seek attention. I know that Korean idols do not promote drugs, and they go through strict trainings to become idol and they are naturally well fit. I've heard that facial procedures are common in Korea, but not so much for their body, but they also don't trick people to feel like they need drugs and plastic procedures to be successful which I hate to see the most. I respect korean idols on that in fact compared to those Hollywood celebrities without educational backgrounds promoting drugs and propagandas to the world. Korean idols don't seem to do that and I actually think that's great and how it should be. I'm sorry if you took it offensive to korean idols but I truly wasn't talking about them.
