@lylaisley63015 жыл бұрын
The reason why your hair gets oily really fast is probably because you take a shower every day and that makes your hair freak out and it cant produce it's natural oils at it's normal rate. So, instead of your hair not being oily for like a day after you shower your hair gets oily right away and that's because it cant keep up with how much it's being washed. Anyways what I'm saying is, if you take a shower every day and you have super oily hair, it's because your hair cant produce the right amount of oils it needs in the right amount of time.

Abovr comment is true. Brad Mondo (hairdress youtuber) advises to try and fight against washing your hair everyday, especially if you washed your hair everyday as you grew up since your scalp tried to compensate for all the natural oils that the shampoo got rid of.

Then, towel dried and air dried to afro. *Best thing I ever did!* My hair grew long without scalp oils and pomades and tricks. Because water= moisture. And I wasn't using heat. If I ever decide to press or blow out my hair STRAIGHT, I'll have to switch to washing once a week or every two weeks- due to the heat drying my hair out. I haven't found a 100% safe shampoo. Take like a tablespoon of glycerin and a half cup of water to dissolve it and then add your favorite oils ( I use coconut, caster, avocado, olive, and jojoba). They won't really combine when you shake it, but it will suspended together and make the liquid cloudy, that's when I slather it on my hair for a few hours ( over night), then shampoo/ conditioner. My hair has NEVER been this soft, I use the mixture as a moisturizer for my skin and nails too, its amazing!

You could also get jojoba oil and put it in your end for 20 minuets and the wash. Jojoba oil is the closest to our natural oil. :) also moisture just coats the hair to protect what’s there. Humectants add in the oils :)

Kla dia I’m sure you don’t but if you feel really self conscious about it do it over thanksgiving break. I’m doing this to my hair now and 2 weeks is unnecessary you just need the oils to reach the bottom of your hair which for shorter hair can happen in a couple days. So if you have thurs fri sat sun off, wash tues night then let it go till sun. Brush your hair everyday with a boar bristle if it’s not that damaged or your regular brush if it’s really fried. I throw a comb in there a few times as well. If your able to make the switch, renpure strengthening and thickening shampoo (I pay 6$ at my grocery store and they put it on buy one get one free a lot.) is a godsend for damaged hair. It gives it moisture and it doesn’t have parabens and all that other stuff they tell you to avoid. The conditioner is very good too.
@dandelion125225 жыл бұрын
Kla dia yes that's true that washing your hair less can help your scalp produce less oil. Your scalp is over producing oil because the ends of your hair are dry. I've tried adding oil to my ends butmy scalp wants it's own oil on my ends. For me I saw I huge difference when I started brushing my hair with a boar bristle brush everyday (distributes the oil), washing with renpure instead of dandruff shampoo, washing my hair 2x a week (Sunday, Wednesday) and never using dry shampoo (dry shampoo dries the scalp out and makes it produce more oil). Only shampoo your scalp never your ends. I condition with ion repair (has good moisture) or renpure conditioner and I do my full head up to my scalpdnd let it sit for a few mins. My hair isn't perfect yet but it's a huge improvement before my hair would be greasy within 6 hours of washing it, now it doesn't get greasy until the end of the second day which I feel like is normal. If you want to bleach your hair get your ends sorted first, I didn't fully (had half worked on it) and had to cut them off. By get them sorted I mean moisturized.
@StevieMichelle5 жыл бұрын
You can train your hair so each time it last longer for it to depend on washing it. Meanwhile look for hairstyles that make the oil look less evident. What always works for me is the slicked back low bun, space buns etc.
@Italktocarrots5 жыл бұрын
I wash my hair once a week (curly, bleached, dry hair), I deal with smells on my hair by using a small amount of dry shampoo just in my parting/roots of my fringe, a few drops of argan oil is also brilliant on the ends to moisturise before the oils reach and will help get the oil from the top distribute too, I always squeeze my hair with a towel please don’t rub it like you did your fringe it will break the hair!! I’m white with light hair anyway so I’m going to assume my hair is easier to bleach without over processing but I use fashion colours so getting them out is hard without bleach so this is just some of my opinion 😅 I recommend baby shampoo as it’s very gentle too!! Great video and cute kids too :)

@LE123LE1235 жыл бұрын
Ok, there might be a bit of a mistake here. Once hair is damaged, it's damaged. It cannot be fixed because hair is already dead. So, anything, including your own oil/sebum, is just coating the strand to make it feel less damaged. The only way to remove damage is to cut it. Now, using deep conditioners, oils etc will prevent the damage from splitting the hair shaft from the ends up, but nothing will fix a hair strand, despite what people say. That includes henna, oils, catnip etc. Think of a frayed rope. You could put glue all over it and yes, it will stick it back together, but it's not going to make the rope fibers re-connect and be strong. It will again, over time, return to the damaged condition it was. Still a great video and what a lovely family you have!!
@druidriley31635 жыл бұрын
Darkhorse is correct. Nothing will repair the hair shaft. Stuff you buy in stores and salons - "keratin/protein enriched to seal the shaft" - do work, but only temporarily. Like Dark said, it's putting glue on the shaft to seal it, but it will wash out and your strands will return to their damaged state..
@mollypylar3125 жыл бұрын
What is the reason you use BioSilk? It is mostly just different silicone's which only coat the hair and dont actually penetrate so it isn't really deep conditioning I use it as well but I use it after I use a real deep conditioner and sometimes a serum just to trap the hydration in my hair since my hair is over processed and looses moisture very fast. Using such a heavy silicone would inhibit your hair from taking in all of the treatments you do right? Idk

Mina has the best pouffy hair! So cute! Your mum is right. You can’t restore damaged hair Because the structure is damaged but you can improve it by hydrating it and smoothing the shaft. Some products for split ends actually sort of glue them back together temporarily. A natural bristle brush will distribute oils to the tip. So you might try that. This brush type won’t break hair if you’re brushing untangled hair and do it very gently. It will also massage your scalp. Mum was also right about itching. Itching can be due to a yeast infection from all the oils and skin debris in unwashed hair.

Since you’ve been brushing your hair, the oils are being distributed down the length of the hair shaft. Your hair is straight so the natural oils can travel down the length of the hair easier
@KittyClaudia5 жыл бұрын
Everytime I bleached my hair, I didn´t wash them for a week because the hair needs the natural oil more instead of the chemical or kitchen oil. And that´s saved my everytime if I over bleached, too 😂 One of my hairdresser said to me too, that the best for the hair is when you wash your hair after 4 days when you colored it (pigments needs more time to stay in your hair) and for after the bleaching even more days without washing 🙂

I will definitely try something like that. Not two weeks, but a week, maybe. I had such a very healthy platinum blond hair about two years ago, but I got pregnant and couldn't bleach my hair for a while. Now I'm trying to back to platinum hair again (doing by myself, as always) and since my hair is already a 9 and a little damaged, I'm gonna try to not wash for 1 week and see the results. Thanks for the idea, and I wish health and happiness for you and your cute family! Greetings from Brazil.

I wash my hair with only conditioner or mask, I don’t use shampoo) conditioner + more water + massage roots = clean roots and soft hair🧝🏻♀️co-washing it is called) And you can use mask (a little) on ends of hair and not to wash it))ends looks better👍🏻 p.s. english is not my language, sorry if I had mistakes;) ♥️

Excuse me, what's cowashing for? I've seen a lot of people mentioning this but I still don't get how could this be more helpful for your hair than basically just washing it with shampoo, etc?

You mentioned having breakouts and my first thought was you are brushing your hair right on to your cheeks! It may not be the reason, but it could be!

i recommend you find a toning deep conditioning/toning masque.. it will really help with the strong yellow tones you have going on. it’s better than purple shampoo bc they tend to be drying! Matrix brass off collection is my fav, they have a mask & leave in treatment that are my go to for level 8-9 ☺️

Nami- sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if could explain your piercings? I noticed on your left ear lobe you have three piercings in the shape of a triangle- was that intentional? I love the way that looks! And given that my ears (the upper parts/cartilage) tend to get infected when I get that area pierced (and I end up letting them close up), the "triangle" piercing on the lobe is a look I would totally want to copy! :)

Bleach my hair yesterday, for some reason my hair is very "healthy", even with the color removal I had to do. I think it was the hot oil treatments along with protein treatment.

I once went 3 weeks without washing my hair, it was the summer vacation and I was like : let's test it. I have thin hair and it gets greasy after 2-3 days. Anyway, I was mostly staying in the house and my hair was really greasy, and I kept it only in a pony tail, which wasn't so good, but the hair got really nice after those 3 weeks. It got greasy (after the 1st wash after those 3weeks) in about 1 week, so, I was 1 week free of washing it and it looked like it didn't need any washing after even 1 week, and thin hair is the most annoying type when washing , lol. Tbh, my front section always gets really oily, and the rest looks normal. Anyway, my hair didn't fell out as much as I thought it would've . So, I debunked ur mom's theory haha! ^^ (nice video by the way! I love u so much, and you make me smile everytime!)

After lots of bleach sessions I would put some conditioner on the ends of my hair and leave it in. Washing it out the next day which helped in keeping my hair stay decent. Of course regular trims afterwards really helps.

I have quite oily hair but everytime I bleach my roots I try to stay the most days without washing it! It really helps a lot. This time, thanks to quarantine and considering that I wouldnt go out, I miraculously reached 30 days without washing it. It was so great, and even after washing it its been 5 days and it still isnt greasy. So, even if you suffer a bit trying to resist, the results are worth it
