That would be crazy! Luckily one is all I need! 😃

It blows my mind that artists can create such magnificent little worlds/works of art on such a small canvas. You basically get to hold your painting, & take it with you, anytime you desire. So sic.

At this high level, these handcrafted pens are more like fine artwork that happens to write.
@CraigRoccanova Жыл бұрын
Absolutely and that’s how I look at it. I’m investing in functional fine art!

If ever I get a pen like this, it will be to support the arts community . . . and to write with it.

Appleboom! I’ve always wanted to visit! Namiki packaging is so nice… I’ve never really thought about posting/ not posting with expensive pens like this and how it’s lined with felt- thanks for sharing!

"The pen retails from Goulet for $5800" Perfect! XD yu-yake is such a gorgeous orange! I love the little raden flecks throughout the parts of the body that didn't have maki-e. Gorgeous pens from Namiki as always!

The Raden is little glimmers in the water. Namiki really thinks of every little detail!

The sheer silliness, I love it -Put a DVD in a CD case -Forget about Region Locking -Refuse to elaborate any further Truly the best pen making company out there just for that alone Now talking about the pen, nothing can sum it up better than it being a wonderful piece of art and craftsmanship. And I think you got lucky with the waiting time, I heard it is usually 6 to 12 months depending on the model And yes... You're crazy if you bring your good pens to work, but I do exactly the same because I literally have only 2 braincells (Ultem pen in lab => totally worth it)

Nice. I have the Michifumi version. This new one shows a different perspective/gives a different impression. Would be cool to get the Emperor version as well as both Yukari Royale varieties. The #20 is plain. The Royale has maki-e. Your chinkin dragon is maki-e.

I also have the Lioness and Cubs Royale and a couple other Emperors! I’m bringing them to SF!

@@CraigRoccanova Cool. I have the lioness and cubs as well, it’s a really very nice bit of maki-e, very nice. I look forward to meeting you and seeing your pens.

I didn't catch the paper you used. The paper was fantastic. As for the pen - magnificent! The care taken from the packaging to the felt liner in cap to protect the unbelievable work on the pen is admirable. Could the feed be polished ebonite?
@CraigRoccanova Жыл бұрын
No the feed is just plastic. The paper is called “Iroful” and it’s Japanese loose leaf paper. The only ebonite feeds they do are on the emperor sized pens
@phildo864 Жыл бұрын
@@CraigRoccanovaI think the Emperor sized pens use a plastic feed dipped in lacquer; not ebonite. I could be wrong though

Hi Craig- I’ve been obsessing over this pen and now have it in my box at Appelboom at a great price. It’s out of stock though, som my question is, how long do I need to wait for? I’m bracing for maybe 6-12 months but can this be trusted? I must have this pen!!! Thanks
