RM taking advantage of the fact that he knew that the reporter and most of the audience watching the interview at 2:42 could not understand Korean was lowkey incredibly brilliant. He knew that even if his words got picked up by the microphone (as they were), the majority of western audiences wouldn't pick up on the fact that it was a warning. Especially since he says it with such a neutral expression, and does an eyebrow raise and a little smile afterwards. I think this is one of my favorite interview clips, both for RM's handling of the question and for the other members' quick thinking to turn it into a joke. They protected themselves and didn't make it awkward for the interviewer at the same time. 10/10 class act.

From someone who isn’t a diehard army, I think that he is a great leader. He isn’t pushy but he keeps the members in check, especially when it concerns public image which is really sensitive and important when you’re big stars! He translates where needed and he cautions the members whenever he sees fit all while staying gracious and humble. He is the mediator, peacemaker and he’s always there for the others to make sure they’re okay. Nobody could be a better leader for BTS than Mr Kim Namjoon !

He makes sure that BTS is represented in the best way, and it definitely shows that he is the perfect person out of the group to have the job.
