@@davidmerlin3344 no Lee and Bob recorded on both ozzys first 2 solo records,. Rudy and Tommys name are listed on the inside jacket of the album...Tommy spent forever telling ppl that it's obviously not me playing drums on dairy of a madman. the lineup of Osbourne/sarzo/Alridge/Rhoads/airey never made a studio album together cause Randy died and eventually Rudy left and Bob was brought back in as bassist. plus Tommy left aswell a few yrs after Randy died Bob and Lee were pretty much fired .imo they were the best lineup... though with Rudy and tommy

That’s a bargain and you won’t find a more versatile, bass that covers everything you could ever want to play. Also I think it’s one of the most ergonomic and easy to play basses ever made. I don’t own one, but I will after 26 years of playing it’s next on the list.

Operation Mindcrime most definitely has a bass sound that is unique. Most all of Queensryche has an identifiable bass tone. I don't know if this bass is it, we need to hear it live, but that is a radical sound for sure.

Rudy! Rudy! Rudy! Imagine, circa 1980, and one of your best friends, guitar virtuoso Randy Rhodes, tells the former front man for Black Sabbath, that he won't play guitar for him without his bassist joining him. We all know the results. Oh, to have been a fly on the wall.

there was an interview of Rudy uploaded on youtube during 2008, it was shot in 1982, just after Randy Died, like the day or two, he looked fresh and young, hair long for that Diary Tour, the quality was supreme, i mean filmatic clear, you felt Randy Around him, it was like if you where in the room and Randy had not died and as if the band just rolled in grinding on a tour, the energy was still in the air but Rudy looked shocked and numb, i never seen a video of anyone from that time with Randy or just after his death that looked as good or if not BETTER then the photos and the video was raw, he paused allot to cry, some times to answer he had to take a breath, he was testifying to something.. i do not see this video online or know why anyone would hold it back, maybe Rudy himself does not remember it or knew the camera was on . anyone who knows please share info!

WOW ! SIMS pickups and mini toggles I'm guessing for coil tapping. SIMS are so versatile. I believe with the two pups you can get 16 variations. That P bass tone sounds magnificent. I do feel like he jumped ship from Peavey though, which saddens me. I'm a Peavey guy.

@markhawksford7857 жыл бұрын
1dabirdman those pickups are so good man so many options.
@1dabirdman687 жыл бұрын
Maybe so,I just get option paralysis with so many choices so it seems all i''m doing is dialing in tones instead of playing..With passive the road is more narrow,but more straight & long if that even makes sense.
@markhawksford7857 жыл бұрын
***** Yeah man I feel you. You seem like you like things simplistic which is an excellent way to be I'm like that myself but I like to have a balance in between complicated and simple so I can just sit in the middle.
@davejohnross7 жыл бұрын
@1dabirdman Those Sims pickups are passive. It's the Bartolini pre-amp that is the active side. Very simple pickups, 3 options in each: Humbucker, Split-coil P, Single-coil J. The combination of two of them means so many more combinations and it's all genuine organic pickup in a casing that covers those classic tone positions. No witchcraft modelling, etc. Pure pickup.. Literally like having 15 basses in 1, but with very simple function. I highly recommend them just as passive pickups. The consistency across all strings is immense. Real game changers

That's great Rudy, Spector makes a fine bass. Did you know that 98% of concert goers will not even notice WHAT bass you're playing OR the difference in pickups or preamp? You're the only one, in the studio and at home that will notice any difference, besides the sound engineers. Look at how far up that bridge is! It's like a guitar. Hey Stuart, move it back an inch or two and make the Spector's more comfortable/playable and not such a long reach to the lower register.
@GravyHucker6 жыл бұрын
Lawrence Cuccurullo I don't know about the 98% of people not noticing the bass. Maybe the drunkards won't notice, but anyone who goes to see a live show takes in every bit of it - insturments and musicians.
@GravyHucker6 жыл бұрын
Lawrence Cuccurullo all that being said, I'm not patricurlarly a fan of that bass, but I'm just saying people do notice things, even if they can't tell you what affect the preamp has on anything, they can "hear" it.
@joespina3086 жыл бұрын
The only Spector where one can access the 24th fret without fighting the body. Stuart needs to make them all like that. The neck is too long for ease of playing lower strings. Make it 21 frets and shorten the amount of arm stretch. Do we need all those settings? No we don't. HOWEVER its all about sales. The next new gimmick to lure people to open their wallets. Wonder if they sold any of these? Bet not. Guess he got tired of Peavey.
