Here's hoping a 4-voice and an 8-voice are forthcoming!! As if I could afford any of them, lol...but still!

Fatar have continued business and provide keyboard mechanisms for other companies including Kurzweil.

As much as I like this analoug stuff, it's still much to costly. There is nothing a DSI Pro 2 can not do. And digital tec like the Aira without aliasing is as good and much cheaper. I think this retro wave will end with those who were born in the 60ties and 70ties, who are now rich enough to buy what they could only dream of when they were young.
@__teles__9 жыл бұрын
Don't buy it, its too costly. You're made your choice clear. Meanwhile the market is sayimg there are healthy sales for anaog reissues.
@robertandarson56699 жыл бұрын
As with everything its a matter of taste ! SO if YOU are not smart enough to earn the money to buy these dont yell at the people who can ! Or short: GO AND FUCK YOURSELF YOU POOR LOSER !
@MRMILO579 жыл бұрын
Tele Synth Robert Mueller+ agree, if you can't afford it, stop complaining. The well off have worked very hard for what they have, especially people born in the 50s,60,70s. Good on you guys for having analog synths.
@fjfrancois9 жыл бұрын
And digital tec like the Aira? Lol Dude are you drunk? who cares about Roland toys or digital tec in here.

This thing has been avail at Sweetwater for some time now. Believe me, I've had more than enough drool drip into my laptop everytime I go to Sweetwater to window shop. Wondering why it's just now getting some attention?
@alwaysuptil19 жыл бұрын
***** Mine too! I almost had the funds a few weeks back and then I wimped out and got a DSI Pro2 as well as a Juno 60. I don't regret it, but the moment it comes down a little in price.... (my poor wife.)
@Dogboy739 жыл бұрын
..... He let slip that DSI is doing a re-issue!! :D Could it be the Pro-1? Anyone know as I've (obviously) not seen anything on this apart from a few teaser pics Mark Doty posted.

$3495?? That's WAY too expensive for that! Now a P12 or A6 or even OB8 for that $? Yes! Excellent sequencer though! And pattern based!
@shaft90009 жыл бұрын
But this is much more flexible and imho sounds miles better than a Voyager that sells for about the same and has no sequencer and much much fewer CV points
@XYtoTheDoubleG9 жыл бұрын
Certainly puts it out of most peoples price range.... sadly

Is it faithful to the original? Answer the question, please. "Well umm..we use a lot of parts....ummm...sooo...you know, it's, it's, it's, ummm....well people tell us it's more faithful to the original than synths from Moog and Dave Smith....soooo..umm".
@ericld119 жыл бұрын
no clue....but it's been "coming out" for at least 3 years. It's been listed on the sweetwater website for many years. But not in stock.
@Syntox9 жыл бұрын
Well how close can anyone expect it to be if the original is 40 years old? Have the parts just been sitting buried in a pit in the middle of the desert waiting for NAMM 2015?
@ericld119 жыл бұрын
See: Moog Modular
@jacobbrashears9 жыл бұрын
Eric Davis The electrical circuit is exactly the same. The only true component change is the LM13700 OTA by TI replacing the CA3080 OTA by RCA. All Op-Amps are the original TL072s, and discrete components are the same. The biggest difference is sound is caused by aging capacitors that create a 'rougher', 'fuzzier' sound in the older units-a similar effect will likely be seen in modern units after several years in use. Sound on Sound Magazine determined that the oscillators sounded identical and the filter sounded similar (but not identical). The filter contains the OTA change-still, a very near sonic replica, and a very real analog instrument.

Looks like a fantastic synth, but.... its a shame that tomoberheim.com is printed multiple times on the front panel. .com on anything is denotes cheapness and modern, just like vinyl records with UPC codes on the cover are worth less than those without them.
@turbotimthree9 жыл бұрын
when do you think these companies will realize that they could build the old synths they used to make, only digital. we are at a place now where digital has surpassed analog. then maybe we could afford them. I just wish a synth company would release a product without worrying about the whole analog/ digital thing. Dave Smiths stuff is on the right track but still too expensive.
@jeezuschryst9 жыл бұрын
lol??
@Syntox9 жыл бұрын
It looks lovely but at $3500 dollars retail it's outrageous. It's purely for "vintage" fetishists. How is this better than a modern MiniMoog (and an Electribe for sequencing) at more than half it's price?
@theeltea9 жыл бұрын
It's fully patchable, for starters and has two SEMs. The price is actually fair, if you compare it to the Voyager XL or the like.
@fjfrancois9 жыл бұрын
Once again a digital toy Electribe who cares about digital tech in here, not me.
@SPAZZOID1009 жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with digital. Electribes are instruments, not toys.
@jeezuschryst9 жыл бұрын
huh? Aren't the Voyagers $3-4000?
@javiceres8 жыл бұрын
But a modern minimoog is actually similarly priced, isn't it?
@jaypeter6669 жыл бұрын
Lol...it's like the Emperor's new Synth. No-one will say it, so I will: it sounds horribly "out of tune" with itself.
