If you think you could then I don't think you fully understand what a RADAR is. For once I doubt you'd get the same clocking, also how would you bypass any Windows screenso it just gives you their launcher for your DAW.

Well yeah there clocks are amazing you can't get the same clocks as them but bypassing Windows and stripping it down and the computer stuff is all easy just takes time.

If you want a system exactly like this it would be more economical to just get the RADAR in my opinion. Yes, you can build one for less but it will take a lot of time and tinkering. That said, I personally don't think this system appeals to me. It feels very dated. A Mac with an Apollo or two would serve me much better. But I can see how some people would like it, and considering what it is and the fact that it's a fairly small production then the price isn't all that high.

+tekis0 so, you think this stuff is not necessary? tell me what im missing i want to build a pro studio with essential to work for hip hop, i want that crystal clear sound of those guys like young thug and future, now this is what i got in mind so far: 2 avalons 737sp mono class A for stereo recording, pro tools hd native system, apogee symphony, neumann u87, sony mdr 7506 or beyer dynamic dt 770 pro for vocal monitoring, mac and so on now what im missing?

+khlymore You must have an accurate control room. Otherwise, you won't be able to hear what you're doing. Also, since you're doing hiphop I recommend Maschine, as well as PTHD.
