While you're there make sure you check out ACG or AC Guitars. Alan's from Scotland and his basses are incredible. The woods and craftsmanship are stunning. What takes them over the top for me is that he has both his own pickups and on-board pre-amp that you can't get anywhere else.

Observations: A lot of builders seemed focused on eye appeal; new finishes, abstract body/headstock designs. Also, fanned frets and headless bass guitars seem to be gaining a bigger following. OTOH, extended range basses(6 strings or more) seem to have fallen even further out of favor.

NAMM basses always have a bit more bling I think. I agree about both the fanned fret and the extended range observations.

I’m not aware of a single site that has every bass, but Talkbass.com has a NAMM thread. NoTreble, Bass Magazine, and Bass Player Magazine will be posting, and there is always the namm2020 hashtag on IG. And of course I will be posting as many as I can here on youtube and @soundslikebenig
