I saw these drums at the Namm show in Anaheim Ca Two years in a row, I love the concept and the look as well, but as a purchaser I would not want to be limited and only buy from one particular drum manufacturer. I think many other drummers, along with me as well, would want to purchase the tuning system rather than the drum and place the tuning system on their own drums. I love my own drums and paid a significant amount for me to just pay for another set to achieve faster tuning on a drum that may or may not be what I like. The drums are priced like if they were a dw collection series. However if the price is right, I believe many would pay for the system rather than getting it with the drums. Just my opinion but if it’s something Welch would take in consideration, sign me up when the tuning system itself would be available for purchase. My DW kit will look dope and my setups would be faster for sure!
