So great to see that Aristides put in the work with the multiscale Evertune and not keeping it for themselves, but instead choosing to make it available for other brands as well!
@claudevieaul146511 сағат бұрын
Aristides is not American, that's probably why they didn't immediately slap a patent and trademark on it, but rather let others in the industry share this idea 🤣🤣🤣
@zanzabar4ky77 сағат бұрын
I thought the story was they asked if they couod do it, and evertune sent them the files needed. Since each saddle.is independent it is not a big deal to machine a multi scale base plate. Evertune is busy with the bass version and is supposed to have their machine shop running at full capacity to keep with the normal demand. Good to see more companies being able to make them. Maybe I will be able to afford one this time.
@dreammachine863 сағат бұрын
@@zanzabar4ky7 I'm sure I remember watching something from Aristides where they encouraged other makers to do the same and that they would even share their files if needed. I have personally never played an Evertune but I love learning about all the new developments in modern guitar. As I don't play guitar live yet I prefer something I can change the tuning on quickly like a normal hardtail or 2pt trem. But Evertune really does seem like a gamechanger for touring & regularly recording artists. I'm most interested in Aristides' 8 string trem though. Not many options for that around. Would love their new Jazzmaster shape in that config. A bit too pricey for me currently though, but one day...
@zanzabar4ky73 сағат бұрын
@ I got to play a couple at guitar center and music go round. I loved the evertune, but for the 8 string and greater than 27" scale 7 string I don't get the straight scale. Balaguer is still $3k with no other options, but maybe Ormsby will do it for $2k ish

06:27 "Patented Dean Slime" unreal we literally had to get photos of Dime's personal slimes from his guitar vault for Dean to make the first USA slime in 2012. Ironically Elliott had refused to make that model from the USA shop what so ever until that point until Dime's estate asked them to do it for my guitar because it was associated with WASHBURN lol. Is there an "Aria Pro II" booth ?? .. I would like to see it if they are here. Their new "RS Custom" in white (or black) are killer ! They reissued their beloved "PE - R80" model (but the "PE - R80" from the early 80's are the best of the best) (I'm a fan of old 70's - 80's Made In Japan "Aria Pro II" stuff from the "Matsumoku" factory. So an underrated brand wich deserve so much love an attention from the guitar players ....)
@claudevieaul146510 сағат бұрын
Absolutely. I love the Matsumoku Aria Pro-II's as well, and I'm lucky to have a few... Their PE shape is brilliant - I have a 1980 PE450, 1982 PE-60, and the 40th Anniversary PE (Korean, and some early Koreans are definitely worthwhile!) and while they're all different, they're all VERY good and versatile 👍😎 Aria produces in China and Japan, afaik. The former does mass produced gear at low prices (and yet still very nice indeed!) and the latter houses the true artisans - custom shop goodness, and quite pricey...

@@claudevieaul1465 Ahah !! Cool ! I have 5 Aria's too !! I learned to play the guitar in the 90's on my dad's Accoustic Aria Pro II 1975 "PW-25" (a clone of a Martin D-18) and his Electric "XR" from the 80's ... but my fav is my 1977 Les Paul Standard "LS-500" (a perfect copy of a 70's Norlin Gibson) But I would love to have some "PE" model too !!
@claudevieaul14659 сағат бұрын
@@jamesosterberg2510 I bought my first Aria in 1987, a brand-new XR series model 😃 And I still have it! I can recommend the Korean PEs, if Japanese are too hard to come by. The 40th Anniversary PE model is astonishing, its pickups are very much reminiscent of those 'Classic Power' ones in the Matsumoku PEs - only a bit brighter and more 'transparent'. Samick made some great guitars for Aria back then!
@claudevieaul14659 сағат бұрын
@@jamesosterberg2510 My favourite is a unique doubleneck: a 1980 ST-1512 (SuperTwin). Mine has serial number 001, being the very first production model after the prototypes were approved! It still has its own hardcase too. By the way, I'm not a collector: every guitar has its use, and while I try to keep them original, if something does fail it'll get replaced with correct parts - which can be tricky to find... That doubleneck (12 string above, 6 below) is an absolute monster. Weighs a ton 🤣 so I'm only ever using it on one or two songs.
