After trying out a couple of different Floyd plus even the surface mounting frx I was disappointed with all of them. I finally took the leap and bought a kahler and it’s the most perfect trem I could’ve ever asked for

Yeah, but it isn't stupidity that causes the price increase, it's scalpers. Who pays $500 for a bad monkey? 😂

Had the Aria Pro II XL Series left handed with Kahler, my first guitar with a locking trem! used since 89, Sold it in 2009 and later on I had got a Jackson, thinking I was upgrading, o'boy was I wrong there, what an absolute F* disaster of a guitar (Dinky model). Then I thought I'd get myself a Schecter with floyd/r. I just want my Aria back! - Only thing I had issue with the Kahler was when a string did finally break (not often!) it would put the guitar out of tune quite a bit. Maybe the Floyed/r is the same outcome? - I give the Aria/kahler insane abuse (Death Metal Band) - Recall violently shaking the guitar out in front of me only holding the trem bar, trying to put it out of tune to no success. Insane trem, glad you like them also ;) - PS I think we was the first Death Metal Band up in the North of Ireland! at the time. ;) --(Please get an Aria with Kahler, for the Channel! lol) - (the trem fluttering thing, I wonder if different weight or length of bars effect it, maybe some tweaking in that area might get it closer to the floyd fluttering) - (The locking nut at the head (along with the kahler on my Aria as new) was normal like a floyd but where the allen-key -bolts screwed into, were countersunk. The bolts also had a flush top surface, very tidy! --Kahler 5513)

They’re a standing up guitar like the Vox Teardrop. No good for sitting down. Are you going to fit a Bigsby trem like Lonnie Mack?

It’s actually therapeutic for me to set up a Floyd rose. It requires time and care however if you’re willing to put in that time then you’ll be rewarded with a lot of wisdom in regards to how it works

series 10 by Bentley love using these bridges on their guitars which were budget guitars in the 80s they started around 81 and stopped around 88. I have a 85 and not sure what the name is for the body looks like a star and Dimebag Darrell guitar mix together

HI, I just got mine three days ago and I’m really happy with. The one you got undoubtedly has faulty pickups. I had already ordered mine when I saw your video and doubted my order. When I unpacked it, I was pleasantly surprised by its quality. The revelation came when I pluggen it into my amp : it sounds really nice! The pickups are diametrically opposed to those on your guitar, it,s night and day. I can’t understand Thomann ‘s experts conclusions. I really don’t regret my purchase.

It is kind of a bad taste opinion to have, making fun of people rather than trying to actually have examples of how you think tonewoods affect electric guitar tone. I love PRS guitars. I love their quality, I love the consistency of quality control I get when I pick up one of them (even the SE line of budget guitars), I love the beautiful tops and colors they make for their guitars, and I admire their ethical business model for acquiring the woods they get and their stance against the use of child labor and slave labor. But, Paul's ego in this stance about tonewoods is kinda making a bad image for himself. That being said, PRS is still a company I do support because they seem to be one of the few ethical companies in an industry that is often full of people making unethical decisions. I always recommend PRS to anybody looking for a guitar at any price range. But, if something were to come up showing PRS is keeping secrets about unethical business practices, I couldn't in good faith recommend them to anyone after that. And the list of guitar companies I respect would once again be reduced.

This could just be my current state of mental health and my tendency to doomscroll. But, watching all of your videos is making me realize more and more that there's barely any companies within the guitar gear industry that are ethical. And it makes me feel like, what companies should I even willingly support anymore?

Most guitars lose 40-50% as you walk out of the shop. Gibsons (and Fenders) only really 'appreciate' because they keep increasing the MRRP every year. The theory being if you buy one and keep it long enough, you should be able to sell it 'for what you paid for it'. The only guitars that might really appreciate are limited run Signature models - and even then, you need to find one that people suddenly want. EVH guitar prices went crazy when Ed died (RIP). I'd need a few other artists to croak before my guitars are worth much..

What’s the difference between a ported guitar cab vs a half open back or open back cabinet then? You’re leaving an open spot in the speaker cabinet so it can push more frequencies through the air.

I saw Yngwie in the 80's open for Dio. We went to the venue early and were talking to some of the roadies. They were telling us how awful it was to work for him. As his limo pulled up...one of them said, "We'd better go....GOD is arriving."

Are you sure the HT5 has a power tube? I think I saw ECC83, which is a 12AX7 equivalent dual triod preamp tube. And, the second tube was a 12BH7, which is another twin triode driver preamp tube. And it IS listed as 'All Tube' in all the Ebay listings. This is very misleading. To me all tube means tube rectification, pre-amp tubes AND power tubes. I can forgive someone like yourself calling your Blackstar all tube even though it has solid state rectification, but that is night and day different from leaving out the power tubes. There are two kinds of tube distortion in an amp. You can drive the pre-amp tubes to distortion, or the power tubes. Many younger players have never heard output tube distortion from their amps because anything over 5 or 6 watts (way louder than 50 watts solid state) will have your neighbors calling the cops if you drive the output tubes to breakup. That's why master volume was created. That's also why I sold my Peavey Classic 30s and almost never play my Mesa Nomad 45 anymore. Pre-amp distortion is buzzy and fizzy and sounds like crap. Output distortion is lush and rich with even and odd order harmonic overtones. The good news is, you can take a 5- watt Champ or Princeton circuit, or a 15-18 watt Tweed Deluxe or AC15 circuit and feed a line out to the PA and have the best of both worlds. This is where tube amps should be going. But everyone wants a dozen added features like 3-band eq, reverb, tremolo, etc etc etc. Almost every added feature bleeds signal to ground and forces another preamp tube into the mix to reboost the signal. The first thing that drops out are the rich, lush harmonic overtones. That's why early tube amps had only a volume or a volume and tone knob. In the world of tube amps, less is more. You can get every shade of grey from a tweed circuit by adding some pedals, but you will NEVER come close to the touch sensitive lush harmonic tweed tones with all the added crap that every amp builder is forced to add nowadays in order to get a customer.

If you are in the world of guitar, you're better off flipping amps than guitars. By a fair margin. Either way, I never gave much thought to the long term value of any amp or guitar I've ever bought, with only one exception: The Fortin Meshuggah. A Jose Plexi clone with Fortin tweaks for $3,333 and 100 made of the original production version.... I did end up making a little money on that, but not enough to consider it an investment. I played it for a year and decided it was a stupid financial decision that I could actually recoup my money on.
