@@fistinair1979 I got an NS Pulse 2 5, which retails around that price point (1500) and is very comparable as far as where it falls in the hierarchy, for a little over $800 new. And that was only a few months after release! If you look carefully, their non-US basses can often be snagged at lower prices or at least talked down significantly.

Been a session player over 45 years most recently touring with the Motown group The Miracles. I don’t even know who these players are. Don’t get the signature thing. Why do you want to sound like someone else? I’ve got the same Fender P bass my dad bought me when I was 14 in 1973 for $400! I’ve owned maybe 5 other basses in my life. Amateur musicians waste so much money on gear they don’t need. And so many of these boutique basses don’t have the sound that’s in demand at a top professional level. But it’s your money.
