ITZY had english lesson before releasing NOT SHY English ver(English Album) and they study hard. I hope JYPE also do it on TWICE so they can improve their english. They actually can communicate but not that fluent (ofc) i would love to hear them speaking in english comfortably and confident. Dahyun,Nayeon were actually good at english but i like mina's accent (I don't know if this makes sense at all😭😂) When the pandemic is over and they go to english speaking country, it would be easier to communicate especially us ONCE. ❤️❤️❤️

I think part of it is that Itzy's members might have had better English skills when they first became trainees and when they debuted that the Twice members did and Lia is pretty much fluent in English, which helps the other members learn it. It could be too that JYP was pushing the trainees that would become Itzy to focus on English as they were planning the group to have a music style that would be more marketable in the west. Therefore trainees knew to take their English classes in school or with tutors at JYP much more seriously as it could mean the difference between making the group or being passed over.

I think one of the hardest things with English is the pronunciations. The way our consonants and vowels are pronounced uses the mouth and throat in ways that someone who natively speaks Korean or Japanese aren't used to. That's just one of the many reasons why English is a pain in the ass to learn. lol There are ALWAYS exceptions to every "rule". Just gotta use it every day and remember it. It's really just all down to memory in the end. 🤔
