Funny thing is this sketch was based on a real conversion that Catherine Tate had with her nan who genuinely thought her grand daughter was going to be called tesco.

With the older generations now rapidly disappearing, we'll stop seeing people like this and it makes me sad. My Nana was as blunt as could be. She would tell it like it is, no beating around the bush or being fake. If she didn't like you, she made it known. Strong woman. My Grandad was the same which is why I think they had such a strong marriage for many years. I miss them both every day.

Characters like nan are becoming extinct in a generation there will be none they'll all be afraid to say anything in case someone somewhere says they're offended making a joke about anything will be regarded as a hate crime all firms of comedy will be banned. Anyone saying anything negative about any one who belongs to a minority whether it's sexual racial religious or about weight or hair colour will be facing a prison sentence welcome to our brave new world
