Nan Vernon - No More Lullabyes (1992 Promo Video)

Nan Vernon was discovered by the Eurythmic's Dave Stewart and sang backup as one of his Spiritual Cowboys on several of Stewart's album releases with that band. Although that record did little commercially, Vernon did parlay her high-profile acquaintance with Stewart into a record deal and released Manta Ray in 1994, through Stewart's Anxious Records.
The album was never followed-up but more recently Vernon has provided covers of classic songs for the reboot of the Halloween series of horror films. A new version of the song, "Mr. Sandman", recorded by Nan Vernon, is featured in Rob Zombie's Halloween. She also performs "Love Hurts" for the film's sequel.

I watched this being filmed at the Rainbow Theatre, Finsbury Park, London 1992. I was working as security there. She said 'Hi' to me but I was too shy to respond back in the day Haha!

I never knew this video existed! I came across Nan Vernon in the nighties from WNCW in NC. They played her cover of 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps". I loved it and bought the album.
