Nana Balances a Book while Walking - Amazing Dog Trick

Nana the Border Collie demonstrates her amazing balancing skills as she meticulously balances a book on her head whilst walking. This trick was taught utilizing positive reinforcement and clicker training.

Thanks for accepting my video response! :) Now that I have watched Nana again, I noticed that the book is more towards her nose and I have been putting the book too far back, I think... I will keep working on it. Started Bandit on just balancing a frisbee on his head. So much fun! :)

Nana can walk while balancing a glass of water on her head (I will have footage of the trick in an upcoming video) but not at the same time as the book, as it gets too unstable.

Hi, I posted a video response of Twix learning this trick with a frisbee. He is better now. This was done at Christmas time. :) Thanks for the inspiration! :) It will give me something mellow to work on with them as Bandit is healing from a shoulder issue. :)

It all depends on how the dog prefers to hold their head. I find that Nana likes to hold her head up somewhat for this trick so she can see my face from under the book, hence the placing of the book closer to her nose. Getting the book in the right spot is very important. Best of luck! :)
