Nana my lovebird (081) thinks my scissors are a male bird

Poor little Nana... when she saw my small pair of scissors she thought it was a male bird and she got all excited hoping to mate with them. I love her...!

I know eh...? She wants so bad to have a baby and sometimes I feel guilty for not having purchased a couple of lovebirds (I would have had their DNA tested however before purchasing them to make sure I had a male and female)

When I got my Lovies I prayed to God that they were all boys. I was afraid to get a female and have an egg stuck inside of her. The closest bird hospital is 2 hrs away. I feel your pain and I can see how much you love her.

And I guess it's too late to get a male...she probably wouldn't accept him because she's attached to you...

That's what they told me at the pet shop when I told them she does her little love dance when I open my cupboard to take out my coffee jar. It's at eye level so she flies in there and starts dancing in circles with her wings spread...! They said if another bird is brought into my house she will attack it...!

Ouchy Gabouchy ... if she saw the birds on your shoulders I think, maybe, she'd be upset especially if you were giving,them 'head skritchies'!

Skritchies.... ha ha that's a new one for my bird vocabulary.... does it mean sometimes when you scratch to hard they screech..?
