Wonderful system of allowing drug use being decriminalized

This is EXACTLY why safe consumption sites are important! If these 2 were in a safe site then the official wouldn't have felt the need to say something to addicts shooting up in a bathroom. There would have been no opportunity for this crime to occur. Safe consumption sites are soo critical but people refuse to listen. Drug addiction WILL NEVER go away, and shoving the addicts "under the rug" only makes them angrier and less likely to ever get help. Compassion goes a lot further. Aggression like this is often caused because they feel unwanted and lash out. They need to be found and arrested, but we know that just means they'll be out next week again. Safe consumption sites save lives - not just the lives of addicts either.

This happened because legalizing drugs was utter foolishness.

Well.. this is the result of a broken system..no shock. It's shameful though on those in power to address the root of the problem but do nothing.

These people are ruining our country. Even in a small town, drugs are openly used in the streets. Just the other day, watched a guy drop his pants and shoot up, right on main street. I'm disgusted with how the government has allowed this to happen. I took early retirement as a nurse because the hospital was expecting staff to hand over patients street drugs for them to use when out on pass, and even provided a special area for safe drug use. Sorry, but the bleeding heart approach doesn't work. You see it getting better?

They voted for the leaders that passed laws to allow this to happen, so what'd you expect

Congrats to all the people that still support the NDP and the Greens. This will only get worse.
@Fenthule6 сағат бұрын
safe consumption sites would have prevented this because they would not have been in that bathroom in the first damn place. Stop spreading absolutely false information. Look at the data. Safe consumption sites save lives and not just those of the addicts. They reduce crime by containing the addicts into an area instead of them spreading out and hiding in nooks and corners, spreading potentially dangerous altercations out across the whole city.

Smart comment. No drug use in PC Prov.

They better get many years in prison for that, and the city should pay that worker millions for unsafe working conditions !

Voters didn’t expect decriminalizing drug use. Sometimes all the politicians do this. We need discipline and criminalizing drug use.

To be real, most of these people willing to talk to global news about this matter have probably voted NDP or Liberal and have also supported billions of dollars going to Ukraine that's obviously much needed at home . As the WEF said, keep them distracted with drugs and video games .

PP: "Axe the Tax," "Build the Homes," "Fix the Budget," and "Stop the Crime"
@Fenthule6 сағат бұрын
"verb the noun" He won't do most of those things. Conservatives famously are ATROCIOUS as budgets - look at Harper who came into a surplus and left us in debt. pp is a corporate bootlicker. The only people he'll improve the lives of are the elites that already eat caviar on yachts while we hit up the food banks. Anyone voting for pp is voting against their own best interests. His track record of lobbying the government to make Galen Weston more billions says it all.

it will be dangerous to talk with a guy who has known what he is doing is unacceptable. because he is very into it and he will choose to fight for his own so called freedom of choice even though he knows he behavior might be wrong. it will be safer to talk with a civilized man but it is not welcome for him indeed. but it is the fastest way to make things change. never talk to the one who is falsely leaded should be recommended.
