Really lucky for Haruka that Shuto was alright after the accident, otherwise he wouldn't have given her the 100th proposal that brought the two together. All this could have been avoided had she accepted the earlier proposals and the two become engaged, but that's in the past. The two are now together, and that's all that matters.

Actually asking out multiple times is part of Japanese tradition and what some japanese girls expect from you. So this 100 is over exaggerating but i think some tried but asking out 2-5 times is actually the norm. Honestly though it's not worth the squeeze, if you need to do this multiple times it shows that in couple power dynamic she has an upper hand in the end this gives her impression that you are below her and she will either start to abuse you or cheat on you since she deserves someone better. Once upon a time this wasn't the case though but times have changed and this tradition only leads to these lousy results. There are some but far and few in between. In fact on two of the popular channels where you have stories where the FMCs actions piss of the viewers who like common sense there has been a rise of almost bot like comments saying both parties are at fault (in some cases they are) or how wonderful the stories are (when you have to suspend your sense of disbelief so hard to get behind the couple at the end) or just outright glad that the couple got together by the end when it's clear one of the characters owed a massive and even deeper apology to the other one and even outright does not deserve the kindness or forgiveness given to them.
