So easy and confident. It is a pleasure to listen to Nancy and James. From where I come from, we learned this song as "Valentine O'Hara". No matter. Great stuff.

How come she gets such a lovely tone ...compared to others I won't mention who seem to have a more scratchy enunciation...is it fiddle or technique??

+Tom Greene Technique. Or, as it's also known, "being really good." Any good fiddler can sound at least sort of decent on any instrument (or at least any instrument that's in good enough shape to be in tune), and any incompetent fiddler is going to sound just as bad on any instrument.

I always think that she uses expression to great effect, has a very light and delicate touch, and understands tasteful and complementary accompaniment rather than trying to be the dominant instrument...

Can anyone identify the chords he's playing? They sound brilliant but this bloody mic stand is in the way...

Gold. . . "ready" or "ruddy"? I prefer the latter.
