There isn't a law where one MUST enter marriage in which one cannot remain single, so the Courts ruling is irrelevant. I can still say marry your opposite gender, or stay single. Both are backed up in Scripture, not same sex unions or any other so-called marriage redefinition of it.

So I'm a Christian, I go to church every Sunday, I read the bible and pray before every meal. I gave my life to Christ and was baptized a year ago. But unlike most of my fellow Christians, I support LGBT+ rights. Oh, and I also have a girlfriend. Does this make me any less of a person in God's eyes? Should I be ashamed of my love? No. Tell me I'm sick or not a "true Christian" all you want, but I know God teaches us to love all his children, even me. I'll defend my beliefs for the rest of my life. Some people need to wake up and realize the world is changing for the better.

I'm an atheist so I don't believe that you are doing anything wrong. I don't believe in the concept of sin. But as a former Old Testament scholar I simply don't know how some Christians are able to be gay or support the LGBT community. The Bible is clear on the subject and one who doesn't accept that is doing so for emotional reasons and know that in reality, the Bible is nonsense. If you're going to ignore the Bible where it doesn't agree with you then you are simply being moral according to what you believe is correct (which I think is a good thing) rather than what the Bible says. I don't know how bible believing Christians can do that. I'd rather they do but it's hypocritical. Just ditch the Bible and be the moral person you already are without the ancient book.

I choose to write on Revive Our Hearts because, frankly, I'm tired of not speaking just so that Christians will not feel uncomfortable with the issue.
