Al Martino is the only artist from that timeline who I’ve managed to see live. It was in the early 90s and he was amazing. I’m an Aussie, born in 65, so I ‘just’ managed to miss out on see my favourite artists who are mostly of this era, live.

hotel showrooms, every town used to have them live nightclub entertainment basically a thing of the past now look at that band theres got to be twenty guys i that band how could they afford to pay that many professional union musicians? nowadays your lucky if you get a karaoke machine or a dj with a light show and a fog machine

Wow! Talk about being mesmerized by this clip... girl, you got a library to die for! I was transfixed by my old neighbor 'Nancy with the laughing eyes'. I'm sure you know that house, as do I, it's in Bel Air NOT the Beverly Flats. The announcer sounds pretty 'animated' though so we'll forgive his zeal. Good stuff, keep 'em coming.

what are you talking about? obviously he allowed his daughter to make this promotional clip right? thats what this is its advertising, its a promotional film hes the using an association with the Sinatra name to sell tickets to his nightclub act, its a celebrity endorsement OBVIOUSLY, Nancy Sinatra was not a huge star in her own right she was daughter of frank and her career was a subsidiary of his this is CLEARLY Frank Sinatra doing al martino a huge favor trying to throw him some business and sell tickets to his show YOU THINK NANCY SINATRA LIKED THIS KINDA MUSIC? she was an elvis fan, she was a rocker. this music wasn't for her generation, this is her doing a favor for a guy her father asked her too, as for not being nice to al martino, how could frank sinatra have much respect for people who are clearly just imitating him? JUST STRAIT UP STEALING HIS ACT? he had A LITTLE respect for Tony Bennett because he was doing MOSTLY his own kinda thing, you should have seen the utter disdain frank had for jerry vail

@@roman14032 Can`t disagree more.Al Martino was top Act as the announcer said. And didn`t need Sinatra`s support and didn`t want it.Most of the dislike FS had for Martino was after he did not back down taking the Johnny Fontane part in The Godfather in 1972.Nancy being raised on her Dad`s music,she loved it.Sure she liked R&R too.Martino,Damone Bennett,and dozens more were Pop Singers of the day who sang the hits of the day around their own hits.Bennett no different.And Jerry Vale touted Sinatra as one of his friends and routinely played cards together in Palm Springs in their latter days.
