If you were to line up all the grunge singers in their prime, who would have thought that Mark Lanegan would be amongst the last still standing today? It has been a long, sad, and musically amazing journey. My favorite AIC cover yet
@WarlikePeace3 жыл бұрын
Mark sure has gone through it and came out the other side in a way that no one could have seen coming. I know I'm not alone in being inspired by his recovery in a big way. He knows it too. A most humble man is Mark Lanegan.

I agree and nutshell too...but what about Dallas Green effort amazing
@WarlikePeace3 жыл бұрын
@@solac7749 eh, Dallas is a good singer songwriter and all but he doesn't do it for me, at all. He was very sincere in his tribute but Mark really blows them out of the water, imo.
@solac77493 жыл бұрын
@J Martin I agree Lanegan is in another league...i just like the way Dallas puts a spin on it, like fishbones cover.
@WarlikePeace3 жыл бұрын
@@solac7749 for sure. I wish Fishbone would cover the whole Dirt album. That horn section is killer!

So glad that Lanegan is still with us. The Trees were easily my favorite Seattle band followed by AIC. Layne and Mark were friends, this is a nice tribute.

Love their tribute! For real! All these bands hung out with each other in the late 80's early 90's. Mad respect! This song is super hard to pull off.

It's amazing to think it takes 2 different people to fill Layne's role in this song
@mcdingus50813 жыл бұрын
Yeah... um no. It's not like they were goin' for the full on copy cover of the song. Sorry, but Lanegan takes a backseat to nobody. He is his own thing, just like Layne. Only Lanegan has survived long enough to really take it to new places. If you ever want to hear a diverse catalog from a single artist- he is the one. Just his progression in Trees alone was amazing, then you look at everything else since. He'll never get the recognition stateside that he deserves, but I don't know if that really matters to him that much.
@patsmith64053 жыл бұрын
@@mcdingus5081 that's your opinion bud. But everybody takes a back seat to layne in vocals.
@patsmith64053 жыл бұрын
@@mcdingus5081 if I'm not mistaken I'm pretty sure mark is doing jerry's vocals. I was talking about the 2 woman doing layne. Calm down buddy it's all opinion in the end. Personal interests. They are both gods along with cornell corey taylor and many others
