Good presentation. Nanda ji is a very talented, great actress and a good human being. She deserved a lot of filmfare but she didn't get it. Very sad and feel pity for Nanda ji. She did many good films. Dhool ka phool, chhote bahen, Bhabhi, Kanoon, bedaag, jab jab phool khile, barkha, hum dono, Ittefaq etc.

Thank you for your kind comment and appreciation. True, she was underrated. She deserved a lot more acknowledgement and awards, but she didn't receive what she deserved.

She was gorgeous and cute actress. I liked her Hum Dono, Gumnam, Shor, Abhilasha, Jab Jab Phool Khilen, Prem Rog, The Train, Dharati kahe pukaar ke, Usne kaha tha, Ahista Ahista & Chhoti Bahen. She was underestimated. Very decent lady.

Thank u for openly sharing your point of view. I was born in Himachul but lived in calif for 53 years n am very respectful for Fairness towards women. I believe when societies are set up for equal financial rewards, living is full of Love n enjoyment rather than bitterness n dictatorships. Nanda was great family value actress. Nanda ji seemingly stands alone since half century portraying gracefully creative image of an average Indian woman in hindi films with her appreciable performances...

Very interesting story It seems like People in Bombay, Maharasta n south are more involved n participated in movie industry. Also her personal life of remaining single tells viewers, Indian women have been making very reserved decusion on marriage for last 2 or more centuries. It is opposed to propaganda of indian child marriages n forced marriages. Complicated country

Thanks for your comment 🙂 yes her biography is very interesting. Regarding decisions made by women, it is believed that their financial state also plays a great role in how independent they are. If they're earning then they can decide for themselves, to marry or not. But if they're dependent on their parents, they make their decisions. Nanda jee established her name and earned well, got herself her own house and that was such a huge achievement for a woman in those times. But yes, women have been making their own decisions for a long time. Actresses like Suraiya and Asha Parekh never got married.
