Honestly its unfortunate that tulu people are loosing the very essence of their iconic culture. Had been to many alaDe's and interviewed many scholars across the world. It's time for some real siri's to stand-up for the cause of saving whatever remaining butas/ spirits, cobras and siri herself to their authentic state, before they transform to something non-sense or disappear from their own land. Learned recommending cutting trees to build gunDa was never heard-off in history! Non-senses are on the rise booming ego with economy - brahma kalasha for the bootasthana, cutting trees and spoiling snakes/their eggs to build brahmasthana, wasting truck load of areca nut flowers to put up a mere show than showing divinity/humbleness, mistreating boota/daiva in the temple yard of their own (mostly 'cause a lower cast artist performs?).
