Room rents in gokarna are on higher side, basic room starts from 1000 no nac , ac 1500 on wards, shops will close by 9pm(medical shops) , dinner In hotels are very limited after 9 pm. PAI hotel is very much economical and you will get decent food. There is annadana satra on way to main beach from temple(right hand side just before beach parking) it will open from 11:30am to 3 pm for lunch , not sure of dinner timings they serve little better food compared to other places like udupi annadana satra

There won't be any bus to gokarna after 8 pm from kumta, last bus from gokarna to highway (madankeri cross ) is at 7 pm. However you will get autos they may charge 300 to 500 based on the time, (they took 350 for me around 9pm). Visited gokarna on 5th oct 2022(Vijaya dashami)
