Hi Kenji, That engine is so cool. Your fix for the fuel lines turned out so nice. I appreciate the accuracy of matching the real engine. I like the way the drive belt turned out. You always figure it out. Thank you Kenji, and take care

Hi, Brian. thanks again. So far, it looks like it will fit nicely into the chassis.
I did the same and was quite impressed as I saw the original!

I really like watching how you have such patience to put in the effort and detail! Fantastic skill!
The webers, it’s a fuel line and throttle cable return spring (the spring spans the two carburettor bodies) and is ~20mm in diameter. But who’s looking for the spring once you did the fuel line 😊 The cam belt is a marvel, just needs a tensioner 😉 What a beautiful job you have done, models that come with an engine aren’t as good as yours.
@kenji-plasticmodels Жыл бұрын
Thank you. I omitted the part around the throttle cable. The carburetor was enough with the Skyline GT-R.

I was instantaneous looking for a picture of a Lotus Esprit engine at 17:40 and it looks literally the same! Maybe it's an S3 Motor? Just awesome Kenji! I love your work! Keep it up! Greetings Florian

I made the S1's early model engine feel like it was customized by the owner (me) who likes mechanics. Thanks!

Ingenious solution to creating the belt drive (it took me a bit to see where the construction was heading). And I learned a new phrase today: daibuyokunaimashita :D
@kenji-plasticmodels Жыл бұрын
Daibu yoku narimashita. daibu = very , yoku = good , narimashita = became
Maybe if the belt was 1mm thicker and the cross pieces were tighter together??...
@kenji-plasticmodels Жыл бұрын
Exactly so. The next one will probably work.

You can use plastic drive belt from old inkjet printers and scanners. You can also make it from sheet styrene.

Is it too big...?
@vibeforge Жыл бұрын
@@kenji-plasticmodels yours is okay, but hard to make and not as accurate as factory made belt. Printer/scanner belts are of different sizes, I remember holding around 3 mm wide one, but of course you can split it to needed size.
