The most obscure in-joke with this movie was in the usage of cinematographer Ernest Haller (seen in this video). He was both Bette Davis AND Joan Crawford's prime cameraman when both were at Warner Bros., shooting, amongst others, JEZEBEL and DARK VICTORY with Bette, and MILDRED PIERCE and HUMORESQUE with Joan. He's best known as the DP on GONE WITH THE WIND.

Madie Norman was Wonderful in this film playing an important role beautifully, and I agree, deserves more credit! Marjorie Bennett was a delight as Buono’s mother. Bobs Watson who cried heartbreakingly as a boy in On Borrowed Time and played the iconic role of lovable tragic Peewee in Boy’s Town appears in “…Baby Jane” as the newspaper man who helps Jane place an add seeking a piano accompanist for her act!

It takes me lightyears to read it as every sentence I have to google the people or locations it mentions to get a good idea of what went on. Have you read it? I’d thoroughly recommend it!

Daddy bought that house for Jane. It wasn't those B rated movies of Blanche so that's why she ain't ever gonna leave it unless they end at the Beach. I wonder how the billing was. It does not say AND which would then make it look like Davis first then Crawford but it shows up at the same time with Davis on the left which in English, people read left to right vs how it is in other nations. I wonder what Joan was thinking about the billing. Two major Stars of their given times yet over age 40 which back then meant career over so they were taking these horror parts yet the two disliked each other. I give them credit for filming. It was actually a good film. A cult classic in a way. A horror but also comedy as we of today would see it. I look for other things like the acting as well as camera zooming in or out etc & am curious of what parts were cut to never be seen. Thanks for uploading this interesting video. Five Stars for the upload.
