Tempests got a buff in the last patch where they have faster acceleration. You can micro them much easier.

I think this latest tempest build comes from Harstem. He kept doing it in one of his "playing stupid stuff against grandmasters" series. That being said, I think the original reason why tempests got popular with for example proxy voidray-shieldbattery cheese was a price reduction. I'm not entirely sure, but I'm pretty sure.

I did it. I got to level 12 in Ant Legion. I was gonna stop at 8, but I got to 12. I'm one of the few. Finally after 13 years of freeloading without so much as an ad watch, I've given something back. I'll just donate money next time. I'm not a fan of encouraging gambling addiction in these whale-hunter "games". They're not even games. Games are designed to be as fun as possible. These are designed to be as addictive as possible, without any actual joy. Might as well ask your subscribers to enjoy little bits of cocaine. Extra kickbacks if you get up to a gram a day! Ugh. Hopefully some non-gambling games can be promoted. I'd play an actual game sometime.

Purple shots deal regular damage, orange are only when targeting structures after the upgrade has been researched on the fleet beacon.

The Tempest rush is a strategy I use to catch the opponent off guard with units and blindside them. And is really frustrating for the zerg to deal with. It’s not a ‘standard’ build and I personally don’t think cheese should be limited to just nydus or some proxy of some kind. But I’ll do better with my next replays so as to not confuse the audience. When I see Pro players use it and call it cheese then I guess I was just following their logic.
