I'm pretty sure the terran player got to platinum solely by winning each game early using this 4-rax-mass-marine tactics. Clearly, he was very confused about what to do after transitioning to mid- and lategame.

yup. Pretty sure that's it. I've been in diamond/masters in the past but i never got past midgame zerg vs protoss since i hate dealing with airtoss at the end. So if I can't win by midgame my lategame play is definitely like gold platinum level. I"m still trash with vipers. :P zvz rarely gets to late game so don't use em much there and zvt I use more infestors

Pretty sure those Overlords at the start were a VERY lucky coincidence. During Terran's final push, dude was sitting at 198 supply, and started building 7+ Overlords for no reason. Then he continued by suiciding 40/80 lings into tanks due to waypoints for good 5 seconds while not doing anything but staring at them, before even deciding to damage the tanks. Terran, on the other hand, is clearly a cheeser that never made it past marine tech and that got him to plat. Ain't no way this is platinum, and I never even played ladder.

Terran made no medivacs because he thought he could half ass transition into mech for some reason instead of just keep going Bio. So those marines were the ones he had made earlier and then he thought that 2 factories would be enough for a mech transition and went with it.

Didn't think terran did that bad in the patch. Zerg was nerfed with the banelings though. Widow mines buffed and I think the cyclone changes is a buff in the end.
