We all have vivid memories of our grandmother conjuring up magical formulas in terms of beverages, curries, sweets etc. to ensure good health of her family members. She would incorporate various herbs, spices and ingredients in our regular food as they imparted huge health benefits.
Thanks to her natural home remedies or ‘nushke’, we all enjoyed good health and wellbeing.
India is blessed with a huge variety of spices and herbs that have great medicinal properties. They are the crux of the home remedies. These nuskhes are passed down to generations because they are so effective.
In today's episode we will introduce you to a specially curated menu from Punjab Grill, a popular restaurant chain in Delhi NCR, that has been developed around this age old wisdom.
The chefs at Punjab Grill have taken inspiration from these nuskhes passed down to them and devised the limited edition menu called Nani Ke Nuskhe. The dishes not only showcase the healing potential but also have a sense of nostalgia attached to them.
We had the opportunity to experience this amazing initiative along with some of our hosts from our successful Community & Food Stories Series. What transpired was a day full of heartwarming connection and super gratifying food experience.

Vegan was not there in nani's time ..today's it's more of buisness strategies to market with fancy names ... At nani's or even nani's time food were organic , healthy . we moved from Desi ghee to refined to mono , poly saturated now telling again Desi ghee and sarso oil is best ... I am feeling bad that I saw this video about 1 year late. Surprised to see you eating only veg food Anubhav. I know how much you enjoy eating mutton. Hello...Anubhav,have lately started watching your episodes and really found them very interesting. A small request that a number of time in your shows you have expressed that people in Delhi who are from other states are too particular about their native food habits which is indeed true...but somehow it reflects as if you are being forced to stay here n talk about your karmbhoomi.I'm also not from Delhi but have always held the culture,food habits very high. Delhi may not be our Janmbhoomi...but indeed it is our Karmbhoomi.Wishing you the very Best!
